Oh my decals haven't arrived yet, that arrow was done with codex grey then bleached bone then a thin brown wash to put a border around the bone. /facepalm Well don't I feel stupid. :) You're free hand looked like a decal to me. ASAP i finished the Sergeant arm so he's fully complete. I've got a full squad of tactical up and running and now working on some Sternguard. What's peoples opinion on the Sternguard loadout? I really don't want to use the heavy flamer, but is it quite effective? My new bases are much nicer IMO in grey, they contrast nicely and give the green a little more lively look. So much cleaner and the colors are amazing. I will produce models like this one day. I really want to invest in an airbrush (I know it's not the key to painting great models) but I would love to learn how to spray gradiants and I really like the texture the airbrush leaves on the model. With this one I have used a differnet method on my green. I really like how this came out and I might stick with it.
