Ceased Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Hi all, firstly I've been collecting since 2nd edition but now have only recently started playing. I have been slowly making a renegade dark angels army, using Chaos, Dark Angels and Space Marine bits. The question I pose is, if a chapter, who was part of the Unforgiven, went renegade. Would the Dark Angels (or any chapter of the Unforgiven) actively seek them out to destroy them? I would assume they would, as they wish to keep their dark secret, but to what extent? As to whether they would be hunted - the answer to that would be yes, if the Unforgiven knew about it. The bigger issue would be the Inquisition who would almost certainly have an interest in this if they got wind of it. Ultimately you could run down by any loyalist Chapter. Urael Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Also, do not forget that the ENTIRE Unforgiven would be on the Renegades, not just one or two Battle Companies from one or two Unforgiven Chapters. One Renegade Chapter of about 1000-1300 vs The Unforgiven LEGION ;) ... Exterminatus would be gentler. It would be a mobilization of our hidden Legion of a scale not seen since The Great Crusade, and that would attract all kinds of other problems. Tiberius Jackhammer Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 In the recent "Pandorax" thingy, it clarifies that the Unforgiven do not consider more recent renegades "Fallen" - they are simply normal traitors, and don't seem to be any more of a secret than traitor Ultramarines are. Ceased Posted February 23, 2014 Author Share Posted February 23, 2014 This army was a gift from my lovely wife. So I didn't build or paint it (neither did my wife). But I have been painting other minis to suit. Rough history is, at some point disagreed with the dark angels. Was turned upon by the Unforgiven, slowly have been hunted down to the point of almost being extinct. Only a small strike force remains. Still loyal to the emperor, they have been fighting chaos and looting parts to keep going. As a result they are slowly being corrupted by the forces of chaos.
