Jacqualine's Order of Our Martyred Lady

So I figured its about time I start one of these threads... I've been collecting Sisters ever since I fell in love with John Blanche's artwork (what can I say, I'm a pin-up girl at heart) when I saw it on the front cover of the 2nd ed codex.

I'm currently completely overhauling the army, so I stripped everything and am redoing it.  I've sourced prettier heads (the old heads were showing their age) and dremeled out the original heads on most of the models.  I've got a ton of stuff (including that all of my rhinos/immolators/exorcists are made with the Forgeworld Diemos pattern kit with extra mods to fit with the GW sororitas plastic immolator kit, plus my Avenger Strike Fighters are based on OOP FW Lightnings... but all that is unfinished and not really in a condition to show off just yet).  This time instead of making my own order (last time I tried doing the red armor with gold trim and parchment tabards - like on the cover of the 3rd ed codex... being the butt of many 'Khornate Sisters' jokes at my FLGS made me hesitant to make another mistake like that), I'm doing my favorite official order: The Order of Our Martyred Lady.  I'm still working on the fluff of my mission, so that'll come later... for now, here are the models that are finished: my first three Battle Sister squads and my canoness (whom this time is magnetized for easy swappings):

Anyway, this certainly isn't everything - just what is finished as part of my revamp.  I own enough to fill every slot of a double force Org with some left over... just a matter of time (and decals!  Those things are hard to come by!)

Speaking of decals... I need a mega-drek-load of Order of Our Martyred Lady decals - particularly the larger one that is only three to a sheet... but they are nigh impossible to come by and I only have fifteen sheets (sounds like a lot, but for an apoc-sized army its just not enough).  If anyone has an idea on where I can find more or has a vector image of the symbol that I can download, that'd be great.  The vector image would be so that I could pay a company to custom-print the decals I need.  Sadly, ink-jets can't print white LOL.

Good old repaints! There's nothing better to destroy and then rebuild to new heights your enjoyment of an army tongue.png

Nice to see the Our Martyred Lady getting to make an appearance, I think they're a bit thin on the ground - perhaps "Ultramarine Syndrome"? It's a nice striking scheme, especially on those bases which I rather like. I don't usually go for the more elaborate basing but this seems restrained while still being fancy and gives a nice look as well as tying the army together well.

Have you done anything with the gold? I find a quick wash helps tone it down a little and make the details pop, I think the new name for it is Seraphim Sepia which is appropriate! I'm looking forward to seeing more, keep us updated! biggrin.png

Thanks for the well wishes all :)

I have been using Seraphim Sepia on the gold - sadly my i-phone camera doesn't do the models justice.

Also, I just wanted to mention that my wonderful spouse is helping me a great deal with the painting.  I'm very lucky that way :)

Right now we're making a push to finish my three exorcists - I'm hoping to get them finished soon so that I can take pictures.

Very nice! happy.png It does remind me that I have a Canoness to paint and possibly repaint my Celestine model (the only two I have thus far laugh.png )

I do like the red and gold though. "Khornate" Sisters didn't occur to me until you mentioned it! laugh.png

I just need the OoOML symbol like the one pictured on the back of my canoness. there are three on the sheet - they are about 1cm by 0.5cm each

The sheet component code is: 99 51 01 08 004

Component code is at the bottom of the sheet, the top says 'witch hunters transfer sheet'

BTW everyone, my exorcists are done - just waiting for the clear coat to cure and then dull cote and final assembly - pics will be up by sunday. I'm doing seraphim next I think

Yup, that's the number on these. Will look around for more. PM me your addie and I will get them to you.

Found 5 more so have 10 for ya.

Got to love the internet :D

They are looking great, I can't wait to see some more.
