Imperial Knights Sighted

Emperor's Furor

I'm not talking fluff.  I'm talking about when any new model/super unit comes out the first question asked is "I can play it in Codex: Blah".  Besides there being a pretty simple answer to that question, I feel it is just WAAC or cherry picking.  If you like the rules play the flavor the rules are meant for.  If you like the model, proxy it for something in your list.  If neither of these are options ask your gaming group as they are the ones that give you 'permission' to use the model/rules outside of the intended setting and stop asking the internet...it lies.

Are knight titans fluffy for horus heresy?

Yes.  Knight Worlds (and Knight Households) go back to the Age of Strife, when Mechanicum explorator vessels were sent out into the galaxy to try and reconnect with humanity.  Those few that survived and found planets created Forgeworlds.  The Forgeworlds had a symbiotic kind of relationship with the Knight Worlds, with the Mechanicum providing the Knights themselves to the ruling nobles of the Knight Worlds (creating the Knight Households) to keep the planets safe from Eldar/Orks and to keep the peasants in line, and the Knight Worlds providing troop (or Knight) levies to defend the Forgeworld as well as resources/access to STCs and similar.

Are knight titans fluffy for horus heresy?

Adding on to kitwulfen's post, a Knighthood based on Mars featured prominently in the Horus Heresy novel Mechanicum. That somewhat iconic moment of the Emperor approaching the first Martian to encounter Him on Earth? Machine, heal thyself? Knight.

What's the deal with them having heavy stubbers? That's what I want to know.

Dunno, from what I had heard before Knights tended to have heavy bolters here and there, but never anything about heavy stubbers.  Honestly, a heavy stubber is so useless that I would almost rather not include the weapon just to make the model visually cleaner.

I have been wanting to make a knight Titan house since I saw House Katchar, somebody's scratch built knight titans made from dread knights. They were gorgeous and employed design elements of the epic models.

I was going to make them after finishing my iron hands, however I've had to essentially start them over when I jumped to Horus heresy. When I found out about this news, i was ecstatic. I will definitely be picking some up!

Wait wait wait... they're shoehorning ANOTHER power rangers robot into the lore, and this time they not only don't spit on existing fluff, but actually embrace fluff dating back to the Rogue Trader era?

I think my head is about to explode...

Err... nothing is being shoehorned here?
