bluepillredpill Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 so this weekend I'm having a 1250 point game against a long time friend that I have never actually had a game against, from what I understand his list could potentially look like this Typhus30 Plague Zombies10 Plague Zombies10 Plague Marines (Flamer, Melta, Plasma pistol, Gift of Mutation)Aegis Defence Line with Quad AutocannonHerald of Nurgle (Psyker, Greater Locus)11 Plaguebearers + Plagueridden10 Bloodletters + BloodreaperSoulgrinder with Mark of Nurgle and Phlegm Bombardment.Would be keen to get some input in what way people would approach this army take down these heretical traitors of the empire Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Retaliation Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 I've actually came up against a pure CSM Typhus list like this. I sent my DWK against them. They preformed far better than I expected because I overestimated the zombies. Plague zombies are melee only, get their endurance from FnP, and have a lower initiative than DWK. DWK have power mauls standard (doubling out the FnP), I4, and PE. They turn tarpit units like zombies into mush. Just spamming whirlwinds or something might be equally (or more) effective, but this was just glorious. They had to have killed like 3 squads of zombies and a predator. By the end of the game they might have lost one squad member, and were my last infantry unit on the field (heldrakes man). This was also at 1500 points against a far less melee focused list. Master Avoghai Posted February 14, 2014 Share Posted February 14, 2014 I have a 1000pts list that works pretty well against all type of opposition : Chappy investigator on bike with Mass of Redemption Techmarine servo harness and bolter flamer Tactical squad (10) ML/plasma Tactical squad (8) Flamer/combi flamer RWBK(4) one GL Devastator (6) 2 Lascannons Whirlwind Whirlwind You can add 250pts of DWK goodness if you want, using the teleport homer from the BK to secure their arrival.
