That Guy Matt
Good to see more of these coming. The OSL on the eyes is maybe my favourite I've seen. It's very subtle.
Firepower
Simply awesome as ever. Please tell me those super precise details on teh Jump Pack are some custom made decals or something... Also, looking at the Mayan numerals on their knees, I can't help but see goofy little faces.

winterdyne
First Storm Raven completed. Had to respray the thing after ballsing up the wash - there's a reason you do oil washes on big stuff... ah well, it's a 'learning experience', lol.Quite pleased with this; could spend a lot of extra time doing more weathering / chipping but I don't think the model really needs it:http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/5suns/raven1_done1.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/5suns/raven1_done2.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/5suns/raven1_done3.jpg

winterdyne
Sand and cat litter. Sprayed black (masked the flight stem). Paint VGC heavy sienna, pick out stones with VGC heavy charcoal, drybrush those with a mix of the charcoal and some VGC heavy blue grey. Drybrush the lot with Panzer Aces light mud, drybrush the stones with pure blue-grey. Glue on light green coarse turf (woodland scenics), apply middenland turf tufts, wash with some thinned sienna. Apply birch seed leaves.
One-eye
Wow, one of the best Stormraven I've ever seen !
winterdyne
Finished the 2nd Storm Raven. It's come out a little lighter than the first (probably I did a better job with the pre-oil gloss), so I might dust them both up a bit to unify them at the end of the job. Or I might not - it's quite handy to be able to say 'I'm shooting at the lighter one', or the 'lighter one has these troops in it', despite the fact they're numbered.Anyway, pics:http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/5suns/raven2_done1.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/5suns/raven2_done2.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/5suns/5suns_group_wip1.jpg

GrandMagnus
Man, I love this DIY chapter everytime I see it. The whole native-american theme is well done and adapted to the 41st millenium.

winterdyne
Aye, I'm trying to thing of another way to make the head pop a bit. Need to keep the Mayan skin tone, but might bump the highlights on the gorget a bit, see if that helps.

markham82
I remember reading in Eisenhorn about electoo's( or something like that) from the description it sounded like a glowing tattoo. Or maybe you could paint his hair in a more eye catching colour. Although if it was mine I'd keep it as is.
