I admit, I have no idea which way the artwork should face @ Squeaky - I will continue to add color for highlight and depth to the skulls. My freehand skills and subpar to say the least but I should be able to show skull sides, tops, and fronts when it is finished (I hope). It was terrific fun to try and pick out all the chapters/legions from the big pile of trophies ^_^ Â I'll totally second the opinion that the legion badge looks just fine once you have that little bit of a chain and a couple of trophies to share the spotlight with it. Â My technique for GS symmetry works just like freehand. I always sketch out what I want to build with a micron pen first. Even though it will be covered up by greenstuff, it really helps me "sculpt inside the lines" and I've noticed my smaller projects always come out much neater. I doubt I have room for the horned helm on the front like I wanted.  From this point it is fix gaps and seams and touch up rough spots then I can do the paint on the main body. Also good job adding some variety to the skulls. Â I agree with flint you would get alot more freedom in artistic direction combining both. So, today I started seriously building my new force. It will not be a huge force by any means, 5-6 squads, maybe a dread, and a tank of some type. I really like the start you've made and how you have opened up the terminator chest and made it original by lopping the top off. I'm just glad I carried the idea across.  @Squeaky - All my preheresy marines are beast-sized :) I find it easier to use the termie body for the torso and hips as a base. The size is just about right to make a bigger marine with. In the end he will be a maine in artificer armor.  Worked on the weapons a little. Ian overcoming the confusion when I flip the mini to do the left wing a little bit more and more.   Had to rework the legs and the pose. Once the left arm is on he may see some changes.  The concept of the army will be a small preheresy force tasked with the acquisition and retrieval of abhuman artifacts in the halo star region (Draconith). All good armies should have a story I think :) , so this one will have wolves and crows, dragons and dwarves. I will designate it Task Force Nibelung.
