Started another thunderwolf. I'm just adding a little more metal to the models. I don't want to go overboard, just make them a little more battle hardened.

I am hoping it looks like metal ribs :)

spare ribs? that's funny :)

All of them will have cybernetics to some extent. I think the ribs are as far as I will go though. A piston in the leg here, a plate there, just minor things. I don't want them to become "all" cybernetic.

Oh fair play :) enough battle damage to denote they have seen it all but not so they could be mistaken for a T series robot. Look forward to see your pack with some paint on keep up the good work.

Started putting paint on the wolves and had a roadblock and wanted opinions if possible.

This is where I was

Then Forte mentioned Native Americans in his thread an my addled brain seized onto the idea. Power armor seemed too heavy at that point and I remembered some half finished wolf scouts I had in a scrap box collecting dust.

This is where I am now

Both are early stages so both concepts are easily worked from this point forward. They will be used (if at all) as counts as bikers either way. So I suppose the question is, full armor marines or half armor scouts?

As always any C&C would be great thanks.

I like the half armor scouts. I happened to find a bare arm with a wooden shield in a friends bit box, put on one of my cavalry guys and I've been in love with the idea ever since. Didn't think to pull from a scout box thanks for the idea.

I like the mech GS you're adding into the wolves, it's just the right amount. Keep up the good work. :)

@ Fytharin - thanks. The armored scouts I am using are years old and are kit bashed from standard marines. I did notice that regular plastic scouts fit nicely on the back of the wolves with very little adjustment needed.

@Daemonclaw - You are being too kind about the wolves LoL the scouts pop off easily from the wolves right now. I may do a set of actual marines as well and magnetize both sets. That is a very good idea. Thanks.

The wolves were mostly just dry brushed up to this point.

The brown wolf used all P3 paints

Body - Idrian Flesh (flesh wash), Gun Corps brown, Battle Dress Green

Mane - Hammerfall Khaki (flesh wash), Thrall Flesh

The grey wolf used

Upper Body -  (Citadel) Abaddon Black brushed with Vallejo (Model Color) Dark Blue Grey

Lower Body - (Vallejo MC) Dark Blue Grey brushed with P3 Thrall Flesh

So I am sitting around bored and I decide to knock around my army idea a little. I say why not do a small display for the desk to get a feel for the army and have a ready color reference as well.

So I start building this little piece. It will show two wolf scouts handing a crown to a Space Wolf Vet Sergeant and A Night Lord Termie.

I figure this way my colors will all be present as well as my basing style. There will be several casualties on the display but as they are abhumans and generally not named, I will continue that tradition smile.png

As always any and all C&C is welcome.

Thanks for the colour palette and how to. Great idea with the diorama I like it alot especially the idea behind it having a practical purpose.

A really good start cool crown too ;P only thing I can see a bit off is the wolf lord leaning like he has had one two many ales or he is being blinded by the bling

@Forte - The metal will still be washed and highlighted then the weapon casings will be painted. I was just so happy to have a working blue I wanted to tell the world LoL (A Night Lords army without a working base color is not a happy sight believe me)

@Flint - thanks. I have been trying different colors from different companies to find the right color. I finally stumbled across the right combination for the blue for a base color I am happy with. My army is now ready to to be "in midnight clad" with the rest of you. :)

@lokkorex - I am tweeking the diorama a little here and there. I will post pics as soon as I can.
