Doomed Dice Thrower
Here my newest accomplishment, my IW Hellbrute. Note the use of finescale barbed wire, that stuff is worth its weight in gold. Well, probably more since it's pretty lightweight...I'm welcoming any comments on my colour palette, I made some tough choices leading to reducing the overall amount of gold, do some more hazard stripes, and try to go for a "toxic black" contrast on the horns and teeth to the pallid mutant-flesh, and sickly blind mutant eyes under the large hazard stripe plate. Let me know what you think! Thanks and have fun!http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g118/DoomedDiceThrower/Games%20Workshop/Deitz%20Hellbrute/IMG_20140221_075236.jpgThe black area around the foot has been fixed by now.http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g118/DoomedDiceThrower/Games%20Workshop/Deitz%20Hellbrute/IMG_20140221_080130.jpghttp://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g118/DoomedDiceThrower/Games%20Workshop/Deitz%20Hellbrute/IMG_20140221_084150.jpghttp://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g118/DoomedDiceThrower/Games%20Workshop/Deitz%20Hellbrute/IMG_20140221_074146.jpghttp://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g118/DoomedDiceThrower/Games%20Workshop/Deitz%20Hellbrute/IMG_20140220_160948.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287088-iw-hellbrute/ Share on other sites
Skrundle87
Wicked hazard stripe work, and brilliant use of the barbed wire, looks very good indeed. Something about the spine in particular catches my eye, very nicely done. Only nit pick I have are the horns being black, more of a personal oppinion though as I completely understand why you've gone that way Overall great work, I look forward to what may come next Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287088-iw-hellbrute/#findComment-3599548 Share on other sites

infyrana
Ooh I didn't even spot the barbed wire - so taken was I with the white palid flesh tone you use in contrast to the iron metal, that I just didn't see :) I really like the use of the pale flesh tone, very nicely contrasts with the rest of the model - hazard stripe included. The gooey fresh spinal section reminds me of when I was watching some spine-straightening surgery on TV a while back... a little gruesome, but very effective and really adds to the models ever changing character. MasterBuilder
Oh my God-Emperor! That is amazing... Where do I even start? The flesh tone is incredible, and somehow you've managed to draw the focus of the model to the face despite a lot of pale tone across the model. The hazard stripes: understated, perfectly weathered, beautiful! Theres so many sub par iron warriors armies out there, yet this is a perfect example of what you can do with some time and skill! Ave brother. Now I'm going to go shoot myself for the absolute heresy of an imperial fist complimenting an iron warrior!
