Ultramarine vet
So I have a question. Can a model with Eternal Warrior, my Space Marine Captain, be killed instantly by a power, such as Swallow Whole by the Tyranid Ravener, the Red Terror. It is not classified as instant death as far as I know. Is this possible? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287132-eternal-warrior/ Share on other sites
Imperialis_Dominatus
Yep. That and failing Initiative vs. Jaws of the World Wolf, among other things. It's part of the one-upmanship engendered by the Instant Death mechanic itself- "This attack will deal Instant Death!" "Well, this unit has to be IMMUNE to Instant Death!" "Well, this weapon doesn't deal Instant Death, but it has the SAME effect!" "Well, this new rule, er, Immortal Demigod, means that any hit that would cause Instant Death or remove it from the table only causes a single Wound!" "Well, er... *throws live hand grenade at his opponent's plastic toys* I DEPLOY THE GOD-EMPEROR!"
