Right, so plans have changed and I'm not going on holiday in the end. This means that the next painting update will be much sooner than anticipated (probably tomorrow evening). Anyway, thanks again for all of the comments!

Right, no more than one update with faces in a row, got it.

To compensate, a small update on the test model:

Yes, these Marines Errant are going to be bloody and filthy from head to toe.

It's going to be fun :D

Not my fault you went on a painting fast, lol. Seriously, though, it's great to have you back, man. And with a bang, too, I'd say. Awesome work so far, brother.

MagicMan: Cheers mate! And no need to apologise, I borrow ideas from others all of the time!

deathspectersgt7: Aye, I used metallics. See below for the exact recipe!

Heathens: How d'you know it wasn't because of you, ey? :P More seriously, thanks for the kind words! And yeah, that caption also works ;)

Heinrich: Well, it's a secret, duh :P

Nah, just kidding! Undercoat black, basecoat Leadblecher, wash Nuln Oil, highlight Ironbreaker, and from then on it's just layer upon layer of Guilliman Blue (Glaze) until you like the shade of blue you've got. Simple really, just time-consuming and occasionally a bit tricky on the backpacks.

Tyrax: Thanks and I'd love to join you if I could. If it's still active this time next year, I might make arrangements to fly over to the UK to get a couple of games in with you and your mates, if that's alright with y'all.

Anaziel: Thanks! I use a mix of Typhus Corrosion, Burnt Umber weathering powder, Devlan Mud wash and water. Splash that on wherever you want dirt and voilà!

batu: Cheers mate, glad you like it all :)

Darth Potato: Haha, totally understand and will probably be doing the same with the rest of the models

No painting done today that's worth showing (silver basecoating: yay!), so I thought I'd quickly drop a single word that should give y'all a clue about what to expect in a few week's time... ;)

Deathwatch

Anyway, thanks for looking and until next time!
