Vallejo Paint Company

I figured it was a fairly large company and well established. I use their products all the time myself and recommend them to my friends.

This isn't a sales pitch smile.png as I do not have any affiliation with any sales services in any way LoL

I was just curious as to the size of the company.

I sent an email to their sales department this morning and got a e-mail reply back from Alex Vallejo.. It just struck me as really odd for that to happen.

EDIT - I shouldn't say odd - as an American it is not normal for a person with the same name as a company to return an e-mail. It was kind of fascinating to me really in a hobby geek way :)

Could it have been from Acrylicos Vallejo? The is the name of the company that makes Vallejo paints.

I emailed their sales department. The response was from Alex Vallejo. I thought it was pretty cool. Just made me wonder how big the company is.

I know many here would have that kind of information.

about 10 yrs ago had a problem with a empty pot in a paint set. Got  a nice letter of apology from from one of the big dogs at the company and I got a complete new set. So I do use their paint also I have a few pots left from that set and it is still like new .

Now that's how to keep customers happy.

@DarkMark - That makes a lot of sense. I can see a family run business taking a personal interest in responding to an inquiry, Thanks for the info.

@DeathSpecter - I have never had reason to complain about them other than my own stupidity. I deployed for 15 months once and my paints separated. That time I was able to fix most of the paints with a bearing and hours of shaking :)

@Forte - Vallejo paints has my loyalty mostly for the quality of the product as I am sure you are familiar with. This experience with an e-mail from a possible family member just solidifies that bond really.

I'm still new to Vallejo but so far I've been impressed. Especially now I've got a bead in each bottle to mix the paint better. Love how varied the ranges are too.

Been using their Grey Pumice on my bases too which is great stuff. I do want to try out some other stuff to like the mediums. One day eh.

Their Glaze Medium is great, essential part of my painting arsenal now.

Favourite products though are the Liquid metals line, they give such an amazing finish.

Been looking at their mediums after using gw Lamian medium to thin paints. Glaze sounds good and metallic too.

I ment metallic medium. Mix it with any colour to make it metallic. Nice possibilities.

Ive just bought some of this with their gold, silver, glaze and matt mediums.

It'll be interesting to see how it works.

Could you do a little review when you try them please. Be interesting to see what can be achieved with them.

Try the Vallejo Air paints with normal brushes, saw a video of it applied and it's thin enough to not clump up and shows more of the model's details, but thick enough to prevent those pesky "Grey Spots".

I've heard very good things about the VMA paints. Especially metallics.
