Collcted works.....including....?

Nice hardbound, don't get me wrong, but if they are the titles from the BL....I already have them on my Kindle.  Wulfen, Kraken, Failure's Reward, Bjorn: Lone Wolf and Iron Priest.  Kraken I thought was the best.  I don't have any other of his "shorts" unless they've appeared on the BL recently.  I do still have Battle for the Fang in my queue awaiting its turn and me trying to make it.

I'd like a little more info on this before I decide is a I'm trying to say.  I'm not one of those that will buy any and/or everything "just because" folks.

I get where you are coming from, for me however at the end of the day it's always nice to have it on paper than on a tablet or on a screen. There are benefits to both forms of media, it's all about personal preference.

I agree with you completely on this Maverik.  I have some BL books on Kindle including the shorts by Chris Wraight, but when the subject is something I am interested in like Space Wolves - then I do not mind getting the physical copy as well. I buy the digital copy because I cannot wait to get stuck into the story.  At the end of the day thoug,  reading off paper is a better experience for me.

Again, it's just that I want a more detailed description of the product.  I too am a "trophy collector" when it comes to things I've read that I really enjoy.  I have enjoyed all of Chris's shorts to varying degrees and would not have a problem with one day owning this beautiful hardback.  The problem for me lies with GW and their penchant for ambiguity.  Just tell me what it is and what is contained in this "collection" so I can decide as an informed consumer rather be forced into the "rabid fanboi" crowd and potentially disappointed and with lighter pockets in the process.

A little OT, but related.  In the 'short' interview linked....they bestow the moniker "Great Wolf" to Chris.  I can see that he may have become the lead writer for GW/BL regarding all thing about our Chapter.  I also concede that he has by comments and reviews from my Brothers in this section as well as others on B&C that he has done a masterful craft in his writings.  However....seems a bit over the top to refer to him as the "Great Wolf" don't you think?  I mean to take nothing away from him nor our own "Lore Master" Brother Valerian or others here, but perhaps "Venerable Skjald" or similar would be more fitting....just my impression of the first time seeing this.  William King, Grahm McNeil and others have written of the Wolves from Fenris, and though Chris is obviously the current lead....it just seems a little presumptuous to me is all.  Thoughts?

I think you are overthinking it..... it reads "great wolf" not "the great wolf." Me thinks it is more of a.... He is a great wolf or a bro. Definitely one of the guys here in terms of the Fang. As for lore master, we have plenty here as they do and know the background/fluff and have done the research. Chris is a story teller, it's his profession. Lore masters are more your history scholars/professors. Story tellers merely add and or give more depth to a story that we either already know or thought we knew.

Perhaps you're correct Maverik, though I think "Venerable Skjald" would be most fitting as the Skjalds were the storytellers in the fluff.  I could even accept a suiting Rune Priest  title of some sort as they are charged with the histories of the Great Companies as well.  As a "Great Wolf", to me, takes on the connotation of the Chapter Master as in Logan Grimnar or his predecessors all the way back to our Primarch Leman Russ.....I suppose I should try to find some way of turning off my mind and finding more and restful slumber when I make my attempts.

I beg pardon in any offense was taken by my words....no offense was ever intended.  Chris IS a Great storyteller and I, along with others here no doubt, do consider him a Wolf Brother.
