Jolemai
This may sound like a silly question but I was wondering if it was possible to breathe some life back into some PVA glue. It's not gone hard and it's still sticky, but it doesn't flow like it once did, etc. I'll be using it for basing and I know that it's best to do two parts PVA to one part water for that, so would adding a little water or thinner to the glue help in this instance? Or is there another trick that people have tried to extend the life of theirs? GumbaFish
Depending on how dry it is already I've found when I have tried to add water to mine and shake it up all that happens is I generate a foamy watery thing of diluted glue at the top of the bottle and all the glue is still at the bottom of the bottle. In order to add water I needed to manually stir it and let it sit a while before attempting to use it. Kaedes Nex
PVA glue is pretty cheap isn't it? But then again, so is a single pot of paint. I think as long as it's not rock solid you could revive it, but thinner may not be a good idea for glue, water is probably safer. Gurth
Plain water is all you need to thin PVA glue — and don’t add a lot all at once, a little usually goes a long way. Try stirring the glue and water with a flat stick (not a round one), then check if it has the consistency you’re after; if not, add a little more water and repeat.
