Heresy era lascannons

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any luck getting them to fit/look good on the standard heresy marine kits? I really like the shoulder mounted lascannon look, and want a squad of them in my heresy er salamanders, only thing is I still 10/15 bodies from the legion tactical squad I split with a mate last year, so was hoping to put the lascannons on them rather then having to order another 5 dudes.
Failing that, does anyone know anywhere that does shoulder mounted lascannons for marines?

What Mark are you using? I accidentally bought two of the heavy support squad for my Culverins, when I needed the tactical ones. They're Mark III.

Edit, the FW website shows some with MkII and MkIII backpacks and they seem to fit ok, the backpack seems to be slightly rotated.

There are two stances on the FW website with Mark III armour

The Mark II/III backpacks are twisted a little bit to bring the side vent under the cannon.  Or the cannon is dipped a little in front (i.e. not aiming).  But these require the extra arms, which you can buy off bits sites if you really want the lascannon.  Don't think I've seen any underslung ones.

I got a pack of the MKIII heavy support squad and the lascannons. They are much easier to assemble and get things lining up. But that is down to the way the arms are. The normal or Legion armour sets would work for underslung guns (h. bolters, volkites, etc) but the shoulder mounted ones would need the specific arms for them. To note, the right arms have a slot which the tab on the gun fits, helping to line up the gun on the shoulder (the right arm and shoulder pad are one piece).
