Hi guys,

Like many of you I sometimes lurk here more than I should... while watching TV... at work.. while my woman is telling me about her day.. etc etc.. I love being inspired by the randomness I find here. Anyway I though I'd toss some random pics for you guys to either inspire or entertain you.

I really like the community aspect here. Things like Shadowguards challenges, Lucifers crazy underdog thread or just the random WIP posts that pop up.

Hopefully some of you like minded people will add to this and contribute enter odd or random pics that you have sitting around. Give some of us something to do when we're bored

Thx. The duelist is my custom Azrael. I really like the model, but find i never use him. The Chap is another custom.. Again i never seem to use him :(

I love how you have made the army your own. Great personalization work and nice freehand. I especially like the Orky terrain and your choice of white for the Terminators over the GW "Beige Marines" color scheme. Even though they are supposed to be the "Crème of the Crop" (badum dum!)  I just never liked the tan = bone Deathwing thing.

 

Also by the background I am guessing you play at Great Escape Games in Sacramento? Great shop and good folks!

All marine players should personalize their armies. Most of the machines are suppose to be thousands of years old, not to mention some of the suits of armor. Plus it just looks cool when people do I think. 

 

I like the white color on the Deathwing much better than the tan. I read the book "Deathwing" years ago, in which a group of DA Terms painted themselves with deathmasks and fought a last stand to try to save their recruiting planet. If you have never read it.. I strongly suggest you do.

 

If you have ever seen a native American deathmask it's always white, not tan. It looks something like this.

Anyway.. it's a matter of preference.

 

 

Yeah I play at GEG. The owner, Gary, is awesome. Not only do they provide space for 40k, Fantasy and Warmachine, but they have rooms for RPGs if you are into them and I routinely see people campaigning D&D, Pathfinder and others. Hands down the best gaming shop I've ever seen.
