dothac83
I'm worked up some ideas based on fluff on what Krom would have: Wolf Lord Krom Dragongaze Wargear: Runic Armor, Frost Blade, Power Fist, Belt of Russ, Frag Grenades, Krak Grenades, Wolftooth Necklace, Wolf-Tail Talisman, Melta Bombs, Saga of the Bear Points: 250 I've crafted a unit already. Will post a picture when I get off work tonight. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287393-wolf-lord-krom-dragongaze-unit/ Share on other sites
Karack Blackstone
Nice, looking forward to it. I'd personally make: Krom Dragongaze Wargear: TDA, SS, Thunder Hammer (Axe of the Storm, Thunderhead), Belt of Russ (For the ++ popping), WTN, WTT Saga: Saga of the Bear Points: I'd have to check, but he's pricey. I think I might do this build with my Chapter Vlka project. This sounds rather cool. dothac83
Isn't a Belt of Russ a little redundant when you have TDA/SS combo? the BoR doesn't improve the 3++ invul save that the SS gives. Karack Blackstone
Isn't a Belt of Russ a little redundant when you have TDA/SS combo? the BoR doesn't improve the 3++ invul save that the SS gives. At the points values Apoc games occur at, the enemies that can remove an item Invul go into the numerous and astronomical in terms of their likelihood on the field. If I make this Krom build, I'd literally be going in at 10,000 points for his Great Company alone; a second ++ is a backup, and is there just in case the first is removed. Trust me, there's nothing quite as annoying in 6th as losing the one and only Invul on a major HQ. This has happened against one of my Wolf Priest HQ's, and I don't see why it should be allowed to occur when there's a work around, albeit a bit expensive. dothac83
Here's what the unit looks like right now. Please bear with me because it hasn't been painted yet: http://i821.photobucket.com/albums/zz133/angelofphoenix1983/40k%20Space%20Wolves%20Army/Krom1.jpg http://i821.photobucket.com/albums/zz133/angelofphoenix1983/40k%20Space%20Wolves%20Army/Krom2.jpg http://i821.photobucket.com/albums/zz133/angelofphoenix1983/40k%20Space%20Wolves%20Army/Krom3.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287393-wolf-lord-krom-dragongaze-unit/#findComment-3606118 Share on other sites
Vykryl
My Krom Dragongaze is equipped with Runic Armor, Belt of Russ, Thunder Hammer & Wolf Claw with Saga of the Bear for 230. There isn't a lot of fluff other than him ripping out the throats of fools and those who question his commands to build from. He sounds like a no nonsense guy so I made him able to slash & smash (initiative or strength) as needed. I'm shying away from terminator armor for my hqs to make transporting easier if desired. I've wondered what would be his character traits compared to the Lords in the codex. Have one I've cleared with my cousin (my only opponent unless his friends are around) and have seen a few posted here and there. I'll have to get it out of my email as its not on my phones clipboard Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287393-wolf-lord-krom-dragongaze-unit/#findComment-3606166 Share on other sites
dothac83
Seeing how his company contains many Wolf Guards, probably something similar to what Logan has where they can be taken as troops, or each squad must contain 1 Wolf Guard, provided that they can join that squad (Sorry Skyclaws). I know it's practically similar to what it says in the Codex with that rule but this would be mandatory instead of optional. Since he's also called the 'Fierce-Eye' he could have an ability that makes any enemy attacking him make a morale save, if fails he can't attack that turn.
