Hellrender
Hello there, I have an idea for knights, but its based on a radical inquisitor. What i have so far thought out for him, is that he has always thought that one should use any means nessecary to protect the Imperium. But lately his focus has changed. Where before he did his research to protect, he now does his research just because. he has stopped caring about protecting, altough he still keeps up the image. He is on the verge of going completly insane. His current research is the effect of chaos on Imperial Warriors. So far he has had several guardsmen converted (can be modelled into his warband), but also a space marine or 2. But lately his attention has fallen on Knight Pilots. Several decades ago, he found a Freeblade (unknown name yet), that left his Household, because was tired of talking and just wanted to fight. He groomed the pilot. Now, 25 years later, the Knight is a bloodthirsty maniac, not yet a berzerker of Khorne, but his knight is slowly warping. This i will do for each of the 4 gods. I can do this, because he is not the main character of my army. The Knights will be. but since i want them slightly more chaosy, then the Imperial Knights, i needed a bit of a back story, to explain why the imperial knights that i use wills till fight alongside the imperium, and are not yet full fledged chaos followers. However, at one point i will proceed the story, and go all out chaos, with more knights, but thats an issue for a much (much) later day. Now, i am wondering how would i go about with modelling this inquisitor and his warband. What sort of equipment do you think is nice, and represents an inquisitor like him (i thought of the daemon weapon, but i think my inquisitor is slightly too much of a scholar to use something like that). What model would you use? or what bits to kitbash him? Cheers in advance, any tips and tricks are welcome. Im not overly familiar with the inquisition, or with the range ofmodels i can use for them. Reclusiarch Darius
Probs wanna use a mixture of Chaos Sorceror and Inquisitor parts for your main guy. I can't comment on the Knight model, haven't even got mine yet lol. Warbands can be anything you want, GW doesn't produce official models for many of the different Henchmen so you can count-as almost anything. Gentlemanloser
For rules, use Coteaz and another Inquisitor (maybe a trainee) for Skulls from Codex: Inquisition. This gives you access to Scoring Warbands, and Deep Strike/Infiltrate/Scout protection for your Knights. Opponent planning to Drop Pod Melta your Kngihts turn 1? Coteaz says BYEBYE!! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287422-radical-inquisitors/#findComment-3608461 Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
I'm a big fan of the Hellrifle. Thorian Inquisitors study the interaction between warp space and realspace, and while they're not radicals I have my Thorian using a Hellrifle due to his own study. It's a pretty effective little gun, and fits a shooty warband quite nicely. Gentlemanloser
Seconding the Hellrifle. If you have an Inquisitor with three Plasma Cannons, it gives him a shot with the same range as the Cannons. It's either that, or get the Inquisitor to man your Quadgun.
