Combat_Vet
I cannot do skulls as I lack the skills for them. This Tut will build off an existing skull as most have access to them in some form. STEP 1. Place a skull centered where you want the icon http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/DA5E6D04-CEF8-494E-A3C9-E6AAA6ABBB55_zpswiugikii.jpg STEP 2 Place a ball of GS slightly smaller than the skull beside the skull http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/2C2FD7BF-DC31-46FB-BA36-20D1FEB0B21D_zpsyjcxypqw.jpg STEP 3 flatten the GS and give it a rough bat wing shape http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/3E1E3C67-37C8-4C08-BB24-24039AE8BFCB_zpslw0wvcrt.jpg STEP 4. Use a round tube to cut a hollow out of the upper wing http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/36322E6F-44AB-492B-A9AD-E4C3C972B80E_zps1x9njtkc.jpg STEP 5. Smooth upper wing into desired shape http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/8B439BD6-8A44-4FA1-93C5-691DC90DB1E5_zpsbmppu7z2.jpg STEP 6. Use a round tube to create wing tips at bottom edge http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/F13B75DB-3D78-4365-A1B2-3E334AB3BA39_zps4ld8wcr4.jpg STEP 7. Smooth bottom edge into desired shape http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/0065AC50-6246-42D9-A8EE-62ECCD60A9FE_zpsgmrfuag3.jpg STEP 8. Used the back of the blade on the sculpting tool to create the ridges and the blade will form the membrane. The is done by aligne the tip of the blade with the tip to the wing and gently pressing downward. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/97AABBC2-9277-4D89-BF62-7D42BF722EA2_zpsokff6s2m.jpg STEP 9. Change the angle of the blade so the tip of the bla. Remains at the top of the wing but bring the back of the blad to the next wing tip. Gently press down. This will create a new membrane. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/0834864F-E813-4790-9EC2-2F34D9513C96_zpsclwrhzlz.jpg STEP 10. With the edge of the blade "score" small tears in the wings if desired. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/Icon%20Tutorial/41820081-3BB0-4564-BA86-80BCC94C13D6_zpsyjbvqom8.jpg Repeat the process for the other wing or go with a one winged icon ,) just kidding. Repeat the process for the other wing. It takes practice but it is really easy. After the first 3-4 it will usually take about five minutes per icon to complete.
