Jarl of Wulfen
So I bought some fenrisuan wolves recently to add to my old 13th Co. army and I was curious how others paint them. My old wolf models were the ones from the goblin wolf riders circa 2003. This also extends to the thunderwolf mounts. I painted my thunderwolves shades of gray/white, then did the fenrisian more on the brown side. Thunderhawk3015
I painted mine off how wolf packs in yellowstone seem to be colored. Mostly grey/white with a black or brown one every once in a while. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
Mine also vary from 2 tone brown to 2 tone grey with a few white ones thrown in for my HQ's and Canis. Growler67
There is a great variety in nature....a simple Google will show you the reds and sables among the browns and greys. It's ALL good....the difficulty is in the mastery of painting the subtlety.
