@Forte..thanks for such a positive response!.. once thinned enamels are so nice to use..coverage power is great..and as an aside, the smell of enamels always takes me back to being a kid painting airfix models haha

Oh man I loooove this thread so much. I can't wait for you to do characters or vehicles!!!

Your termies are awesome and I for one really like the blue on the breast plate.

As an eetsie peetsie tiny amount of constructive criticism: I think your weapons are a little too... metal. Why not try to do the bolter and chain casings in black? Simple, but it breaks them apart visually, so it's easier to see the different parts. Do you get my drift? Take it and do what you want with it. They're your models and I'll like 'm to death whatever you do.

Cheers mate!

@MagicMan..thanks for taking the time to respond and thanks for great comments..much appreciated!

@Augustus..thanks again for your comments. .agree with you about the metallic finish, I spent so long procrastinating about what colour to do them in, that they ended up metal lol. The bolter casing is actually vallejo black/grey dusted with dark steel powder..more of a effect for when a person is holding the mini at arms length. .think I might do the same for the axe head..as always your input is valued.

@November...many thanks again for your kind words, hope to have these finished soon..lovely models but a pain to paint!

@Dorns fist..cheers for your comments and thanks for taking the time to look through this thread..cheers

No painting done since last update, been struck ill and feel like nurgles underpants! But did get some things through the post.

Bits for my new character. ..Raass the soulflayer...and another contemptor to mix around with the first..

Thanks again eveyone for your comments. .really helps with motivation..also for keeping me on track..in my fevered state my mind is starting to drift towards imperial fists!

@Daemonclaw..yep, bringing the hurt now..2 contemptors should be pretty tasty..which by the way thanks again for supplying one of them! Does that now make you a double traitor..supplying more points to your ETL enemy lol, oh by the way, check out the gal vorbak sculpts from forgeworld. .might be your ticket into the heresy?

Still feel like nurgles armpit today, so between feeling a bond with old papa nurgle and seeing mortarion, decided to try out a deathguard marine..quite W.I.P..still gotta highlight metals and rivets..and between humid weather and gw white primer and streaming eyes/nose..this is how far I got..prob a bit to heavily weathered?

First I was like "hmmm steal powder, ok, I see what he's going for there..." Then I went "Ooooooh a contemptor!!" THEN I WAS LIKE "Raass the Soulflayer???!?!??! WAAAAAAAAAAT" eek.gif That is so awesome man. It's the second time someone named a character after me and it's such an honour! I'm getting all mushy faced.... thumbsup.gif thanks.gif

@November..Capt Sharn is still sitting around waiting for paint..want to get raass ready so I can paint them both in one vow..just waiting on bitz to arrive.

@Augustus...just hope I can do a decent job on your namesake now.. I optimistic that it will all come together the way I have in mind.

@Brother Molokai..it was your fault I started that deathguard model haha..since got back on track with the worldeater. .for the streaking I used ak slimy grime light and ak interior streak..I just put the grime around rivets, wait about 5 minutes till it goes tacky, then a dot of interior streak either side and leave for a further 10 minutes. .then with a flat brush , brush downwards mixing the 2 together...I find combining the 2 gives a far more realistic appearance. .

@kizzdougs..thanks so much for taking the time to comment...just spied your apothecary on the etl page..superb stuff! As for sharn and the contemptors, there up next..if I could just finish these terminators that feel like they are taking ages!

@Chaeron..thanks for your comments mate, much appreciated. .cataphractii is seriously nice armour..just a lot more details to paint than your standard mk4 marine lol..good learning curve though..

Thanks again to all of you who have commented, back on the wagon and completed the 4th today..the break must have done me some good as I actually enjoyed painting this one up..1 to go then contemptors next yay

Cheers for looking

@Raass..cheers for replying mate..thanks for the kind words..the transfer weathering is quite simple...just sponge on the base colour over the decal..thats it..top tip...dont thin your paint when doing this..you want this to cover in one go of the sponge..

Finished first vow! I love these terminators but glad I stuck to doing 5 at a time..good learning curve though. .

So with a bit of dancing and some sexy mama's I present my first vow..

Oh and bases will be done at the weekend when I pick up more mud in a tub

Thanks for looking.
