Bunker terrain project

Recommended Posts

So I found these packing styrafoam things that were in a printer box and it hit me that these things look just like a bunker, so throwing together some left over bits to make a lasquad gun/icarus fill in I have started an imperial FOB (forward operating base) tell me what y'all think so far

Ok so spraypaint on stryafoam is not best idea, but it may have worked out for the better. About to put the highlights on it then to attaching it to a base. Not sure if pva glue will be the best fit for this but I dont think the pva glue *elmers* melt it

If you give styrofoam a once over with PVA glue, the spray wont melt it, I also learnt the hard way......

I'm in the same boat as Veteran Sergent, I always think " I could totally use that!!!!!" then promptly toss it out.

Cheers,

Jono

adding some vegitation to the mix, I am going to start building a jungle table i think. Or perhaps my take on a world similar to caliban and that the angels are trying to take this planet and use it as a recruitment planet

id like to make clay mock ups of terrain surrounding the bunker then papermache over that to make a light cast of the shape then attach it back to the bunker to keep the whole thing light. but i see the structure a little less than half underground with the door ways and buttresses exposed

I did a wash of black to enhance the cobblestone effect the spraypaint did of partially melting the styafoam but it didnt seem to take very well, I do plan on trying to add dirt/dust and some imperial additions to it, But I do like the idea of a faded out bunker designation number.
