Kitbashing Knights? - Legio Audax titankiller, help?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

So, this would be my first PCA topic, be gentle.

I am collecting a "just-post-heresy-style" World Eater Army.

Alot of the ideas revolve around having an army I can use in 30k/40k, with World Eater colourschemes and a lot of bloodsplatter instead of painting them all like Khorne Berzerkers.

So I have a few FW models, a Terminator Lord, a Contemptor and some general Chaos marines.

I am looking into making a Legion Audax Converted Imperial Knight.

First off, let me start by stating that, as far as I know, here are no Legion Audax Knights dexcribed anywhere.

As far as I know, the Legio Audax machines so far described are all Warhounds.

That said, I still like the idea of smaller walkers being used as larger (Titan)-killers.

To this effect, I am building a battleplan to, eventually, try to get one together.

To be able to do so, I need some info o help me collect the bits and bobs needed.

Obviously I will need an Imperial Knight.

The Knight will be armed with an Ursus claw. Though I am not 100% sure how to put this one together et, I am leaning towards plasticard-fiting a harpoon-like gun to put instead of Cannon/Melta. Alternatively, to have the harpoon sit on the shoulder, however the stubgun like cannon on the IK seem to be too small to hold an Ursus claw to take down a titan, even a Warhound would need a bigger "harpoon" I think.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I was also looking into options for had and shoulderpads.

To that end, I was wondering whether anyone has seen an IK next to a Bloodslaughterer?

Would it be possible to exchange all or parts of the Bloodslaugtherers Torso/body for the Torso of the Knight?

I'm also wondering if anyone has had the nerve to cut the legs of the Knight yet? To reposition it into a more dynamic pose?

I'd be very interested in seeing wa you came up with on that.

Thiswill most likely not be done this year, but preparation is the mother of success, so any info, suggestions, cheering or other would be highly appreciated.
