Grizwald23
Hey I everyone I have decided to start a World Eaters legion specially Khârn's 8th company since I wasn't enjoying painting my Sons of Horus anymore. Anyway I'm posting since I need help with painting white so I was hoping my fellow world eaters could give me some advice. I like the dirty white look since I don't picture having clean armor as a high priority for them. I do have an airbrush which should make paint white a little easier. Hyaenidae
Add some grey to the white, just enough to make it look off white, but not light grey. This helps the consistency of the paint, and strengthens the pigment for coverage. Another nice thing is that you can use pure white to highlight the edges and chipping, making your minis stand out that much more. Drop me a line if you need any more help. EDIT: Ack! Almost forgot, use a watered down black wash, but only in the recesses and crevasses. It's a bit of a pain, but totally worth it. MordentHex
1. primer white, 2. heavy wash of sepia( if you want them to look a bit used, 3. light grey + white to most area's and covering up any patchiness from the wash, after this you can do a bit of weathering if you want 4. pure white highlights, after this add some blood spatter. Edit: Paint your blues FIRST, its much easier to cover up white with blue than blue with white. LaCroix
vellejo grey primer, army painter dark tone wash, once dry airbrush from the top of the model down so you only hit the raised areas creating natural shadow, gloss or satin clear coat the model and then using dark tone wash again in the areas you want panel lining. (gives an off white tone) after all that start weathering if you want as the model is already for easier washing. i add a sepia for a dirty look works on vehicles too Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287896-need-help-from-fellow-world-eaters-on-painting-white/#findComment-3617409 Share on other sites
