A flying mc can be on you and engaged by turn 2 so if your opponent goes first a talon or raven may never get a chance to fire. The stalker and quad gun have the advantage of getting a high volume of shots at targets like these in round 1. The potential of which is sometimes enough to make an opponent use his model more conservatively.
