The Deliverance Crusade

Well the knight hasn't had a fair trial yet. In honesty he has performed about as expected, but against the hardest most equipped enemy. Both games I have played with the knight were against tau, and tank hunter, twin linked, ignoring cover, etc, etc, missile pods are any walkers bane! So I would like to see the knight against orks or guard. I feel that he will be best suited in these areas, for the reason of smashing parking lots with large blast melta, and stomping boys.

I normally never play large pony sink models, due to their inevitable dice flubs. I much prefer small units that confuse the opponents target priority. Having said that, I'm also extremely tired of ignoring mc's cause there is nothing effective at taking them out. So I will add this boon to the knights rep.: regardless of how well he performs, people keep their rip tides well away from him... If I force the opponent to do something other than planned with his "unkillable" model, then that's a win :)

Put the Knight on a Skyshield Landing pad with the Shields up... it gives a 4++ to any model on top of it regardless of facing... add some melee oriented squad for Deep Strike protection and you get a very very solid firing defense platform... if your Knight was a Paladin, this tactic would be devastating!!! :D

Just had an epiphany on how awesomesauce the Skyshield is when I allied yesterday with an Imperial Knight player and he placed 3 Knights on a Skyshield... he did ask my Crusaders to watch his rear in case a Mawloc or 2 decides to Deep Strike on it :p
