I'd be shocked if we didn't have a list of our own. It wouldn't be the end of the world or anything, but I'd still blink an awful lot. But, in the present I will try and use Biomancy on mine and see how he does! My main foe is the latest Necrons and they're a mean bunch, hard to drop with lots of firepower! Chaplain Admetus Posted March 20, 2014 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Codex marines can, I know that for sure; they get the 4 that aren't Divination. I think Guard are in the same boat. I believe GK get pyromancy too (missing Biomancy and Telepathy), and Dark Angels (Don't get Biomancy, but get the other 4). Basically, from Imperial forces, it's just us and the Wolves that miss out on Pyromancy. In fact, I believe Chaos Marines are the only non-imperial force that can use Pyromancy... they were at the start of 6th edition, dunno whether the new Daemon book gave them access. C: SM lost their list, but it was very similar to rulebook powers just not random selection. C: DA chief librarian has one unique power. I'm not expecting blood angels or wolves to keep unique powers. I hope they do but I don't expect it. Vanilla marines are exactly what BRB lores would be for, IMO. I still expect us to keep some sort of special blood sorcery (along with Wolves having their own unique runic magic), but I suppose you're right. I'm downgrading from "shocking" to "I dunno" then. I'm just unsure of using a high costing taxi for one man, even if he lords over death. It depends! What turn is it when I get it on the board? How much anti air does the opponent have? How much anti Mephiston units does the opponent still have? Do I need the raven later to relocate something or is Mephy getting in combat priority one? Do I need the raven for Demeching, kiling monsters or other flyers? Both Memphy and his pimp ride are valuable assets so often you have to compromise. Generally though if the Raven comes in early (turn 2) then I can afford hover mode and assault in round 3. If it arrives turn 3 then I'll probably 'skies of blood' Mephiston somewhere along the way if I can safely do so. I was using Raven as taxi for DC dread wi tallons, but didn't put DC troops in- in case raven got blown up. Was then hesitating over hovering to drop precious cargo, or keep zooming and dodging shots... My next list is gonna have mephi with rolled for powers, in a raven: he's got 5 wounds... He can jump out at zoom speed! He can get shot down and walk away- he could even assault after that! (couldn't he?- it is an assault vehicle) if he got endurance he might get that wound back!
