Warboss Alex
Hi guys, I'm currently collecting bits and pieces for a Dark Angels project; a couple of packages arrived today, one of which included a set of metal power armour shoulder pads (marked GW 1999) which were described as "Dark Angels Shoulder Pads". On closer inspection, these are indeed Dark Angels shoulder pads, but it would appear they are Deathwing pads - a large pair of wings with a broken sword between them, very similar to the design Azrael has on his shoulder pad, with the difference that the sword on Azrael's pad isn't broken. Does anyone know if these indeed are Deathwing power armour shoulder pads (is there such a thing as Deathwing power armour other than the named characters?), or are they just an alternate chapter symbol for Dark Angels? Thanks in advance! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288073-metal-power-armour-shoulder-pads-deathwing/ Share on other sites
Chaplain Lucifer
In 1999 those shouder pads were used to denote veterans, not necessarily from the 1st Co, but DW inducted marines (squad sgts for example). Nowadays things are a bit different but you could still use them for company vets Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288073-metal-power-armour-shoulder-pads-deathwing/#findComment-3621291 Share on other sites
Gillyfish
That would work and you could also add them to veteran sergeants and characters, if you wished.
