Rouge, sugar. Although yeah, that's a pretty badass uniform.

I do have around 4K of Elysians that I dearly love. They were a multi-year acquisition and painting project and I just love them as an
army. So any additions I do get will be in support of them.

I would dearly love to paint a DKoK army. I think that the variety of camo schemes for the vehicles and some of the specialist kit would be a blast to portray. Plus an excellent opportunity to develop some additional weathering skills.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that it would be a lot of fun to play or play against. So I just think about how cool they might look.

Oddly enough, I've always thought painting a Blood Pact/Vraksian Renegades army would be cool. Actually, that would just be an excuse to paint up some of the Berzerker Ogryns. I just love those models.

~Nod Brotherhood army using the armored battlegroup rules, most vehicles and units would be accounted for! The 1995 version of course.

~Laser Guard, IA1 lets us have Laser Destroyer Tank Hunters while we get Vendettas. Other units like Sabre Gun Platforms, turrets etc. All laser weapons.

~Basilisk+Hydra formation, but they screwed hydras over with snap shooting ground targets. If they can aim at an aircraft they can aim at a damn stationary target.

All wildly different and within the rules. I do want to see IG bikes though, no need to be stuck in WW1 cavalry mode.

I've been wondering if Hydras will finally get interceptor so that they can fire at ground targets, and this is why the new model is open-topped as a trade-off? Pure speculation at this point but it probably wouldn't hurt the sales of a new plastic kit any and would correct this problem.

That's a good point, it would make the Hydra quite good but presumably there'd be a points adjustment to match. It could just be an aesthetic thing as the Hydra will likely sell well enough, but you know what GW is like with the shiny kits :P

I've noticed a raft of Ork rumours have drifted out now - legitimacy of them aside we're starting to get close to the Guard release and yet nothing has appeared about the rules, save for some vague stuff on the Bullgryn shields. Seems a bit unusual?

I was noticing the same thing about our lack of leaked rules.

The hydra on the other hand isn't broken in this codex and from the pic it looks like it will become open topped. I think that it may get interceptor as a trade for making the tank weaker. I hope anyway.

The entire 475th Numerican Mechanized Infantry Regiment.  That'd be nine mech platoons (three line squads and a command squad each, so four chimeras), three tank platoons (twelve tanks in total), three company HQs (so three more chimmies), a scout platoon (3x3 sentinels), a mortar platoon (four griffons), and a bonus command squad as the regimental headquarters (this one with all the advisors minus one bodyguard, straken, a priest,  and 2 techpriests, so it's twelve models and fills a chimera).

That'd be 342 infantry (I have 223 metal cadians, so nowhere near enough, and probably not exactly the right kinds of models!), 40 Chimeras (I have 9), 12 (assorted?) Russes (I have 4), 9 sentinels (I have 7), and 4 griffons (I have 2).

Some s.t.a.r.s. (probably using cadians/catachans) and some stormtroopers (old versions, I guess) for an umbrella-army.

Throw in some Ogryns with big guns (or just 1, and make it an obliterator), and an 'alice' (one of those female assasins, forgot the name).

Using black chimeras for the stormtroopers, giving the s.t.a.r.s. some kind of infiltrate/building thingie,... perhaps ally them with a load of zombies.

... Yeah ... :)

'our business is life itself' or something similar.

I would love to build a complete Krieg regiment myself, but I will have to content myself with expanding my current company of them.  I only have 1,460 points at the moment, but I do plan to expand soon with another Heavy Mortar and a full squad of Grenadiers at the very least along with Imperial Armour XII.  What concerns me however, is that the Advancing and Firing Squads are currently out of stock and by the Emperor I need more infantry!

Here is the Company HQ, I'll post the rest later once I find a camera.

Maccabian Janissaries, found in the Only War rulebook. The amount of converting their heads and the fixing of their armour... Nothing I have the skill(yet) or money(yet) to make it possible.

Hadn't heard of them before but did a little research and they both look excellent and have great fluff.

Go on...convert one ;)

I shall not be tricked by your sanctioned psyker abilities!

Uvenla, the 9th Psionic Choir (AKA The Magic High Fives) say you should do it. ;)

... but don't have the time/money/models/rules for. :)

What kinds of IG armies would you like to make if you had any or all of the above four conditions?

Myself, it would be:

I. An Attilan army. All cavalry. Do some yurts and other such scenery. Doubt we'll ever get an Attilan supplement though.

II. Arcadian. Just like ye olde box art from the Rogue Trader days, complete with Ollianus Pious banner.

III. Necromundan. Ganger minis for conscripts, Arbites as shotgun vets, and gang symbols on the rank-and-file. In this army the Taurox might not look so bad.

I still doubt I'll ever make a Necromundan regiment but (or perhaps 'so') I made one guardsman for the Regiments of the B&C: One for All event.

Only a few days left until the sign up period closes...

Anyone else want to make at least one member of their dream regiment? ;)
