Sanding nooks and crannies?

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd toss a question to the collective gestalt.

Anyone have a cool trick for sanding into nooks and crannies without scratching the heck out of everything else around? Think paint stripping or GS work in a crack (like, say, the knee of a Knight…) where it's tough to smooth.

I thought about adding some masking tape to the areas I don't want scratched and then going to town, but I'm not even sure how I'd reach all the areas. It's almost like I need a sanding tip like a pencil eraser or something that can will hit the surface perpendicular.

Tips? Tricks?
