JeffTibbetts
Thought I'd toss a question to the collective gestalt. Anyone have a cool trick for sanding into nooks and crannies without scratching the heck out of everything else around? Think paint stripping or GS work in a crack (like, say, the knee of a Knight…) where it's tough to smooth. I thought about adding some masking tape to the areas I don't want scratched and then going to town, but I'm not even sure how I'd reach all the areas. It's almost like I need a sanding tip like a pencil eraser or something that can will hit the surface perpendicular. Tips? Tricks? Fibonacci
You can usually pick up a set of needle files cheap that are made for this kind of work. JeffTibbetts
I have some, man. Thanks, though. None of them can file something straight on though. All those files are meant to be used sideways, if you get what I mean. Brother-Chaplain Kage
Take some sheet plastic, as thick or thin as you need, superglue some sandpaper to it, and cut it to the shape you need. I've been making my own custom sanding blocks of various sizes like that for years.
