Torvak Kyre
Ok so I was reading angel exterminatus this morning and something came to my attention. In the scene where Kroeger is in a blood rage, he sees a world with trenches and, when he is eating an unfortunate, a man by the name of Olivier Pearsonne attempts to kill him. I was wondering if I was the only one that thought this had something to do with a certain perpetual, Ol Persson? And if so what do you think the significance is? carlos_spiceyweiner
Yeah I thought that as well. It was mentioned I think in Know No Fear that he was at Verdun, so could very well be! Kais Klip
To my mind its without a doubt a very deliberate insinuation of sorts; if you’re showing historic flashbacks why not throw in a familiar face just to back up said face’s backstory? Conn Eremon
Small universe. McNeill had a tendency to make it smaller. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288149-angel-exterminatus-question-spoilers/#findComment-3623294 Share on other sites

depthcharge12
Yeah I think it was supposed to be noticed and be a "oh yeah that's just Frenchie badarse Oll." That cannibal scene was really freaky though. It reminded me of some vampire lore I remember reading. I can't remember if it was part of the Counts Journal or another popular vampire book (real vampires, not this Edward sparkly stuff) where one of the vampires was in the 1st world war and would prey on the bodies of all the dead soldiers under the guise of a soldier. Ah Bloodline that's what it was. It reminded me of that haha oh and Dragula by Rob Zombie just popped up on my pandora channel lol Talk about coincidence Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288149-angel-exterminatus-question-spoilers/#findComment-3623569 Share on other sites

The difference is where the Blood Angel's red thirst comes from their geneseed, this particular instance was a marine feeling the brush of the warp, a sign of his eventual fall to Khorne. Im sure there is a bit in one of the HH books where Ol see's himself in the future where the Emperor is fighting (or something ) Could he cut his way into Horus' battle barge distracting Horus and allowing the Emperor to fry Horus' brain?? Just a little speculation from me and my friends. The Broker
I suppose this means Kroeger is a perpetual too? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288149-angel-exterminatus-question-spoilers/#findComment-3624001 Share on other sites
Kais Klip
No, merely temporarily imbued with the personal battle memories of warriors throughout the ages; the emotions feed into the warp and back out through warp touch; in this case should Kroeger go Khorne as it were, he would be imbued with a portion of rage and battle lust of many past warriors before, during and after his time. Note the similarity to the Blood Angel's affliction.
