Hi guys, i would like to know if those two books are legal for standard gaming without opponents aggreement - tournament or something

I know about Forge world is legal does this count those 2 books too?

Thx in regard by the way! i look forward for your replies!

It's use at a tournament would depend on the Tournament Organiser.

I imagine it would be fine if it was a Horus Heresy tournament.

The 'standard' gaming scenario is also fairly nebulous. Don't most games start with, "Hey, how are you? Fancy a game? I'm bringing army list X and Supplement Y today."? In that situation, I'm sure anyone who has an issue with it would turn you down and anyone without an issue would play. After all, it's not like you rock up to a table with your army and go, "Hey, you! You're playing me! Right now! You don't know what I'm bringing! No items! Final Destination!"

Well, okay, some people might do that last one, but only with people they know.

Hm....what happens when u say to him that playing not standard units isnt funny and  he is playing with FW-and all the heresy books?

solutions? = i stop playing with him? cause (i think FW and others books have some imbalanced units) for a standard missions?

i tell him that only FW is legal and not Heresy books?? i dont know...really...

Sorry, theres no RAW for this because GW has stubbornly refused to rule on whether FW is 'fully legal' let alone gone a step further and said 'horus heresy is legal'.

Its just not something they do.

So the only answer that matters is to talk to the tournament organizers and your regular opponents.

Also... if thats not the standard in your area what is?

1-Hi, fancy a game?

2- Sure, that table over there, see you in a minute.

- you guys deploy... somethings off....

1- How many points is that?

2- Oh, 2000, I always play 2000.

1- I thought we were playing 1750, thats kind of my standard list.

2- Oh hell, not again.

Seriously.... a game should always start with communication of what exactly it is you want to play:

1- Fancy a game? 1500?

2- Sure, no escalation, FW ok?

1- You got the rules for those units, can I look at them before we deploy?

2- Yeah, no problem *hands over book*

you are right about communication, but in tournaments can be avoided or you can play by the rules,

what happens when in "friendly" matches comes with all new models (sorry but some models are far good for their points cost in FW thats why i hate it , tournament organizers too i think)

So there isnt something  fixed that can be played and what isnt right? so its all ? codex-allies-escallations-inquisitons-FW-heresy books?

Basically, we're saying that what you play is exactly what you agree to play beforehand.

If you don't think that Forge World stuff is well-balanced, tell him and see if you and your opponent can find something that you can both agree on.

For every unit in FW that isnt balanced, theres a unit in the regular codices that isnt balanced, or a combi in allies... etc etc etc. Theres alot of imbalance.

What there *isnt* is a set rule for what you have to or dont have to play with. The tournament organizer has last say, but you as a player can petition them- ask them nicely- to change their stance if you like.
