Kilofix
Building some Inquisition Henchmen for a GK list. Anyone know where / if I can get tiny medieval accessories? Like books, torches, scrolls, chains, etc. - that I can attach to models? I already have Purity Seals and Insignia from the GW / FK kits but not the above. Thanks! Durus
I'd look into the Bretonnian Men at Arms and Bowmen kits, they have some nice bits that makes for cool decorations. Either one makes a decent base for henchmen as well. If you are look at bits sellers also check out the Empire Hurricanum, it has some parts for acolytes carrying books and scrolls under their arms. Another kits worth checking out might be Empire Flagellants. Don't know if you can get any of these in America without paying for customs etc, but Reaper has something similar. They also have sprues with books. Either way, books and torches shouldn't be too hard to sculpt yourself. For a book just use two rectangular pieces of plastic card, put some GS in between, score the sides with a blade to make the pages and all you have to do then is to add the books spine, metal caps on the edges or whatever else you want depending on how detailed you want to get. A torch is just a stick with fire on the end so any arm holding a club/axe/spear will work as base, just cut the weapon off at the appropriate length and add a blob of GS. You can roughly shape it with clippers at first, wait 20 minutes until it has hardened a bit and will hold it's shape and then go back with a blade and a needle to sculpt the flames. Honda
I can second the comment on the Flagellants. They have some very cool bits in that box. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288174-tiny-medieval-accessories/#findComment-3625772 Share on other sites
Kierdale
I can second the comment on the Flagellants. They have some very cool bits in that box.Gold. Mine. I third that recommendation. There are lots of scrolls, books and chains in there, as well as a few torches and some cool cat o'nine tails-like weapons. Hemal
the Dark ANgels veterans sprues have loads of very gothic components like censors. There are also plenty of brass-etch components out there to add a baroque / gothic feel to you marines.
