I didn't copy pasted the non-opaque dice, cause they don't interess me.

 

But I was abit sad to not see Red/Black and Black/Red dice on the list they emailed me =/

Yeah, I like the opaque look too... I think the other crucial thing is keeping costs minimal. More people will get involved if the dice picked are budget-friendly. Translucent etc would no doubt get pricier too.

I got another mail from Chessex few minutes ago.

 

"At a quantity of 1000 total dice, the price would be $.39 USD per die

plus shipping. Shipping to Switzerland would be $60.00 USD via

International Airmail. This will make the total for your project

$450.00 USD with shipping included.

 

Production time for your project will take about 8 to 10 weeks to complete."

 

Really Good news.

 

This means that the dice will cost, for those who are interessed, 0.45$ each plus the shipping to their place.

 

I'll be able to order the dice this week, or maybe the next week.

@Zyth23: have they given you a sample of the dice or just pictures?

 

If they have, do trial rolls with a sample of them, there have been dice problems lately and if you keep coming up with the same numbers (9/10 times) then that means the dice aren't balanced.

 

(Dice needs to be balanced to be fair, you don't want to have a dice that just keeps on rolling 6's... that wouldn't be fair :p)

I have a set of six cross dice. the crosses are on the ones though, and I have to be honest, they have not been treating me well, I often trade them in middle battle for my cube of the smaller sized dice.

 

I will have to post a pic here of the dice I'm working with. I am really considering ordering a set of 32 dice with the cross from Chessex, seeing as how you can make custom orders.

That's an equally nice cross. I wouldn't mind either way. One is classic maltese templar ish and the other is more gothic templar I suppose. Both excellent.

I like the black and gold skull-cross the best. The dice I have now are more of an Iron Cross than a Maltese Cross

So got answer from Chessex about the Dice Roll:

"The engraving process removes very little material from the custom

face. The dice probabilities are not significantly worse than without

engraving."

 

Better and Better each time.
