Kilofix
Suppose a army list with: GK GM ~10 GKTs ~10 GK MEQs GK Storm Raven GK Dread & NDK Coteaz ~30 Inquisitorial Henchmen (Acolytes, DCAs, Servitors, Crusaders) Inquisitorial Chimera Land Raider Fluff-wise who would be more likely to 'own' / 'bring' the Land Raider (if I only have a single one currently)? The GKs or the Inquisition? Right now, I'm thinking if Coteaz is present more likely that it will be his Land Raider. Just trying to decide what scheme to paint the Land Raider. Game-wise they're all from the same detachment so I can always decide to put either the GKs or Inquisitorial Henchmen in it later. Thanks for the opinions. thade
Both parties here have sufficient resources for many Land Raiders, let alone a single one. :) Moreover, even fluff-wise tactical considerations don't necessarily determine who would "own" the LR, since one could simply "borrow" it from the other if the situation allowed. Were it me, I would make the decision based purely on aesthetic: do I want a giant silver Land Raider? (Assuming the GK are silver; you can swap in whatever color scheme you have as appropriate there.) If it's the Inquisitor's, it could have virtually any paint scheme imaginable. You could (really) paint it up as an Ultramarines Land Raider that Coteaz is "borrowing" (which likely the local UMs aren't too cool with if they're aware of it) or go the more common way of decking it out in gold and Inquisitional flair. You have a lot of room for play here. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288232-land-raider-paint-scheme-grey-knights-or-inquisition/#findComment-3625268 Share on other sites

It'll also give me the latitude to come up with a unique paint scheme - as you mentioned. If (when) I get a second LR, I'll paint it the usual silver / red for the GKs.
