Siege of Vraks Inspired - But With More Purple (Pic Heavy)

First of all, thanks for visiting.

So after reading IA's Siege of Vraks series, I was inspired to build a warband that was a mix of Renegade Guard, Chaos Marines and Chaos Daemons.

At that point, I had already started Emperor's Children though - so instead of Guard, Nurgle, Khorne - I went Guard, Nurgle, Slaanesh.

Here's the full warband (but missing a Decimator, Kharybdis and Hell Talon that I forgot to put into the shot):

Here's the Nurgle / Death Guard portion:

Wow, what an impressive looking force! I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see some close ups of your army.

Also, being an airhead, I really liked how you did your Vulture and Valkyrie. Awesome looking.

EDIT: Ninja'd with the close ups. :)

Here's a clean shot of the Nurgle models. I'm going to dual use them as Nurgle Oblits and Nurgle Plague Ogryns - depending on which list I'm using.

The converted Nurgle Oblit / Ogryns, Maulerfiend, Soul Grinder, Plague Bearers and GUO, as well as the Daemonettes and converted Slaanesh Helbrute on the far right, were done for me by Philip from Ballistic Skill Four Studios. He does really good conversion work. He used GW WFB Beastmen Minotaurs.

The other models; Spawn, flying DPs, Plague Marines, Zombies, etc. and the rest of the army (all the IG, EC Marines) I did on my own.

Thanks again for visiting.

Fantastic Armies!

That Maulerfiend is the very best I have seen, that head is perfect! What kit is that head from? It looks familiar, I just can't place it.

My only criticism, and its just me being picky, is the Guard Vehicles being pretty much indistinguishable from loyal Imperial Guard. I understand not wanting to go the spiky route, but at least some defaced aquillas on the hulls and such would make them just about perfect.

Maulerfiend head is from WFB Tomb Kings Khemi Sphinx.

And, Alpha Legion isn't overt.

Here's the other half of my Death Guard subfactions:

Pre-heresy DG + Contemptor

Plague Marines

Apostles of Contagion + Decimator

Some Cultists

Now I think I can take a break from Chaos and work on my Inquisitor list. Thanks again for visiting.

I concur, thanks for posting these pictures, Kilofix. smile.png

I believe the Maulerfiend head is from the Tomb Kings Warsphinx.
