I've decided to build my first Knight as a Freeblade based on my favourite childhood comic book hero.

THE KNIGHT PHANTOM

THE Knight Phantom first appears in Imperial history toward the end of the 36th

Millenium, and as with many things, his history and details vary from world to world.

There are, however, a few consistent details. His world and the base of power of his

Knightly House were lost to Abaddon's 5th Black Crusade, the rest of his House and

Family lost Dark Eldar pirates whist in transit to a new home. Baron Walker swore a

mighty oath of vengeance against any and all piracy within the Imperium's borders. Since

that time The Knight Phantom has become a figure of fear and terror amongst the less

scrupulous within the Imperium.

The fear and terror is attributed the persistent belief that The Knight Phantom cannot

be killed or destroyed, leading to the commonly known title, The Walking Ghost.

Throught the millenia, many have claimed to have killed or witnessed either Baron

Walker's death, or The Knight Phantoms destruction, yet invariably The Phantom

Knight returns wreaking vengeance wherever he treads. Of late The Knight Phantom

has been particularly active within and about the Maelstrom causing great destruction

to the Red Corsairs activities, and is actively seeking The Tyrant of Badab himself.

The Knight Phantom wears armour of dark purple, trimmed in the deepest of black.

He bears a large silver skull about his waist, and upon his right shoulder, a symbol of

death and vengeance. Upon his left, his symbol of protection, given to those who fall

under his eternal vigil.

Like, maybe a Ratling regiment from the jungle world of Buun'dar, I've given it consideration. ;)

I've got a fuller history that still needs some fleshing out. You never know, a Ratling or two may make it onto that base yet.....

sorry but small critique. the pilot is suppose to be dead right? I hope you will do something to show the head was forcefully detached. snapped wires and such would get the point across without having to explain the question "where is its head" a thousand times.

Nope, pilot is not dead, the head and shroud just haven't been painted yet. The "death" is part of The Phantom's mythos, no matter how many times he is killed, he always comes back. His secret is that it's a familial oath, the first born takes up the mantle whenever their father cannot continue for whatever reason.
