Thunderwolf Cavalry.. can they go in/out up/down in buildings and ruins? I tried finding it. I looked online and some people state yes they can in 6th Edition while others state no. If they can then they do so by making a dangerous terrain check? Please direct me where to find the rule or any conflicting rules.

If they can't thats fine I will just Thunderhammer my opponents that hide in buildings.

Much thanks!

sorry, no you can't attack the ruin. i just ment i have to wait for them to come down. you can however attack a fortification like a bastion etc, they have an armour rating. and if you have a thunder hammer/powerfist or melta bombs it will be very successful.

aye, the wolves, because they are beasts, can go up floors.

Torin - So i take it the wargear FW dont have to remain within 2" of the TWC whilst in combat then?

So your wolves can technically charge up say, 2-3 levels of a ruin whilst the TWC stay downstairs...then if/when the wolves die...the opponent HAS to make pile in moves into the TWC?

Also, just for quick clarification..im sure it used to be that you could count as being 'in combat' if you were directly below a model...so say someone had models on the first floor of a building, but you had guys direclty below (ie on the ground floor) - do they countas being in combat or do they have to be in base to base?

You have to maintain 2" cohesion and since most GW buildings maintain that distance between levels you can stagger a wolf on each level with your TWC below to take advantage of that eventual pile in. If the fenrisian wolves break that unit cohesion however I don't think the pile in would eventually reach the twc unless maybe you kept a FW on the ground floor? Then the pile in would be on that last remaining unit and you could charge in you TWC into the melee. Cavalry cannot enter ruins Torin is right.
