Armfelt
The warhammer universe share some similarities with the Starcraft 1 design. For example in my opinion a vehicle like the stalker/hunter design, could be quite cooler as an arclite siege tank.Have anyone seen a miniature that is like the siege tank or anyone that have converted or scratch-built one?http://gallery.ykt.ru/galleries/old/f_warcraft/345007.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288607-arclite-siege-tank-model/ Share on other sites
Hemal
Given that StarCraft seems almost directly "inspired" from 40K, yeah that is a very Imperialesque tank - probably more a mini-Ordinatus than a Guard or Marine tank in aesthetics though - so about 3-4x bigger than that... Also ridiculous as tanks in teh 40K universe are, none have such a silly weapon as that cannon which would not be practical in terms of the multi-barrels sticking out of the back another larger barrel. WHy not just have yourprimary gun able to fire ordnance? Woudl be an interesting scratch build - I can see a way to do it using a land-raider hull, 4 sets of KV1 or 2 1:48th scale tracks, two baneblade turrets and a rhino hull Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288607-arclite-siege-tank-model/#findComment-3638809 Share on other sites
Armfelt
Hehe yeah, I guess that Blizzard may have borrowed a few ideas...Yeah the siege-tank is very silly, the way it work. But as an aestetic, sci-fi, military vehicle - I find it quite cool. ^^Yijkes, I guess that one would need that vast amount of bits to make something like this, but the result would be cool, especially with perhaps some well-placed magnets? Durus
Man I could have sworn I've just recently seen a tank like that. Clostet one I can find right now is in 15mm. Next best thing in 28mm is a little different. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288607-arclite-siege-tank-model/#findComment-3638881 Share on other sites
