2 and 11 had two handed axes.

We shall never know lol.

I hate to bring up spears again, but didn't Russ also have a spear that he kept losing?

He did indeed - the last time it was lost for good as Ragnar Blackmane chucked it into a warp rift to stop Magnus coming back and curb-stomping people...

I need to have a model of Russ with a Danish Bearded-Axe now...

It's a curious thing about 40K: though people wield scythes, gigantic

flails, chainsaws and all kinds of impractical weapons, spears (which

are somewhat more conventional) are only given to the more elite troops,

like Grey Knights and Custodes. And they're not used in the phalanx

way, but spun and wielded expertly in close melee quarters. Rule of cool

is a wonderful thing.

I know this is rather late and settled (I really felt for you Perrin), but since no one else mentioned it, in Legion, there was an IG Regiment that used power pikes in a phalanx formation.

I'll duck out now, amidst a shower of axes, spears, tomahawks (flying and otherwise), and spent bolter casings.

So the AL rules are out online, and guess who has a spear :D

I said this before and will say it again:

We are being watched, brothers :teehee:

Alan Bligh after signing out of the forum and giving him a spear:

Ragnar recovered the Spear of Russ later. Russ with an axe would look awesome, but as long he has Mjalnar and it looks like it does on the cover of Prospero Burns I will be happy.

I don't really understand why maces are AP4 only because those things just crunch into armor and give you massive internal bleeding and/or broken bones. Not to mention the fact that if you knock someone in the head with one it would easily knock it off their body or cause serious brain trauma enough to impair even a space marine.

Idk I just feel that maces are not represented well within 30/40k rules aside from the Primarch sized ones... sad.png

Agreed, and axes are also poorly represented. They are slower than swords but should not be so slow as a powerfist. Yet chainaxes and Angron's Gorefather and Gorechild go at initiative.

And here I am, all alone, wishing someone would use a tomahawk.

Read that and had a vision of marines riding cruise missles into combat.

Yep time for bed.

Thanks for the orange juice sprayed everywhere, much appreciated... ;)
