Personal favorite Primarch models

So with book 3 coming out,  I figured I would start this before the next sculpt is released.  Which of the 5 Primarch Models do you find more appealing and true to the fluff that we have read?

Angron

Fulgrim

Ferrus Manus

Lorgar

Horus

IMHO, I love all of them, but I would have to put my favorite current sculpt with Ferrus Manus.  It is great to actually see what they look like compared to the descriptions in the books.

Angron:    2

Fulgrim:    1

Ferrus Manus:    8

Lorgar:    1

Horus:    10

Ferrus.  The model is dynamic without seeming unbalanced (Angron and Fulgrim just look like they're gonna fall over), excellent proportioning (Lorgar looks like a giant head on a tiny body.  His legs are especially short), the face/head are well done, the armor is nicely detailed and all the articulation just feels like it works.

Of the current Primarchs I like the Horus model the best. I love his claw, the great pose and the scenic base.

Followed close by  Ferrus Manus. It's a very dynamic and strong pose and his armour is amazing.

Finally there is Angron in third place. I really think they captured him very well from how he is described in Betrayer (at least it's very close to how I saw him when I read it). Where all the other Primarchs seem to have heroic poses Angron just have the pose of a tough guy in a bar fight (he is winning). Which is how it should be.

Well, I'm between Horus and Ferrus, but I would say Ferrus because the model is more dynamic and detailed than Horus, even when Horus base is more awesome.

About Lorgar, well, is a pity that FW used different sculptors to make the primarchs. I mean, even when other apart from Simon Egan could get the job well done the primarchs would be too different in their style. You could see a likeness between Horus, Ferrus, Fulgrim and Angron. Lorgar in the other way looks as if he was from a different family (a very static and ugly one). He was the more alike to the Emperor, there he looks more like Malcador, and not any close to Horus (who's bald and stuff). I would rather prefer for Egan to sculpt them all even when it would take more time for release.

I'll say Horus, but Lorgar's armour is very nice depiction of the plain MK3 armour described in the novels, integrating the Legion's esoteric dabblings.

I love Angron's model the most, but the chest and legs could be more grimdark. Personal preference there, Horus steals the show, objectively.

I like Horus and Ferrus, but Horus over Ferrus, I think Ferrus doesn't look ugly enough to be called the Gorgon.

Ferrus being called the Gorgon wasn't because he was ugly - it was a reference to the fact that he had no appreciation for the frivolities of art like Fulgrim did. His face was described as chiseled, and covered in scars, but never ugly.

Personally, I'd like to see Ferrus on a different base - I know its for a diorama, but it always makes him look at a disadvantage / of lesser status being angled up. Also, I think it'd be cool to see him with the cape of silver chainmail he's described as having, or wielding Fireblade, visa his fight with the Phoenican

Angron and Fulgrim are fine - both of the poses reflect the character depicted very well.

Ferrus and Horus are the best overall models. Lorgar would have been a fine model as well were it not for the head. Isn't Lorgar supposed to be the primarch that most reflects the Emperor's visage? His model looks like he didn't get enough sleep last night and ate all the donuts in the office.

I have painted all 4 and will be getting Horus as soon as I can place a big order. I really like all the models. I would go with Horus first, and Ferrus a very close second.

I just finished painting Lorgar, and I have to say he's got a bad wrap. He really is a super detailed nice model. His face is overly sculpted, and it was a little struggle to make him not look so old.
