greggles
Hey Guys! We had a great weekend of 40k. Played a really awesome sisters/bt vs necron/de game. It was so much fun my buddy made a sisters comic up about it. Thought you'd enjoy them! Click on the images to read the full comic, or battle report. xFallenx
Good read. Thanks for putting it together. I agree that it was much fluffier to keep the BT's off the table which, as an un-intended positive, ended up shocasing the true potential of the Adepta Sororita's in combat. If the BT's had arrived sooner I have a feeling that the game would have gone a very different direction, one that could have made the AS look far less heroic & effective. greggles
Thanks! I was very surprised at the resilience of the sisters. I did make quite a few errors (haven't played with them much since the codex update)...forgetting to use faith on two groups. Forgetting seraphim had hit and run. Forgetting their 6++ invuln once or twice. The fact that roughly 1400 points of them held 2k points back for 4 turns is beyond impressive. (with my mistakes) Could I have used faith to gain preferred enemy on the quad gun? I guess that's a bit less useful. The one depressing thing about doing a battle report after the fact...is you can see all your tactical blunders as well (as you write it up). Where your target priority should have been, etc. Was a really good game though. Love the ones where it comes down to a few key moments...that it is that close. Had the immortals failed their leadership roll when the templars smashed into the center objective, it would have been a sisters/BT victory 5-0 (tied for primary, no points. Sisters would have won secondary, 3 points. First blood and slay the warlord. (3+1+1 vs 0). I just finished another two wraiths...so they'll probably make 45 saves next game :). Fibonacci
Could I have used faith to gain preferred enemy on the quad gun? Yes. While there is some contraversy about Rending or Shred, Prefered Enemy works for all attacks (shooting and close combat) made by the unit. The one depressing thing about doing a battle report after the fact...is you can see all your tactical blunders as well (as you write it up). Where your target priority should have been, etc. That is exactly the reason started writting them down :) I have got out of the habit lately and really should start blogging them again ...
