spu00sed
If I recall correctly, Corswain is still +1 on the NL's If you're talking about his little run in with Kurze in Savage Weapons, then yeah, that was badass for a regular Astartes to do, but it's still just stabbing someone in the back, not exactly an opportunity to demostrate skill or truly bettering his opponent. Stabbing the primarch of the legion who made back stabbing an art form should really gain some kudos. Wade Garrett
Can't wait for Corswain to smach Sevatar on the head^^ >.> You know I would enjoy this quite a bit especially after Sevatar ganged up on Alajos after Sheng was getting his butt kicked. It would be glorious and entirely satisfying. I would never stop ribbing the NL community about it :D You mean that time Corswain hiked up his skirts and ran away from a fight with Sevatar as fast as his legs could carry him? :p Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288696-sevatar-thank-you-adb/page/2/#findComment-3635360 Share on other sites

Saphrael
Stabbing the primarch of the legion who made back stabbing an art form should really gain some kudos. Not when you belong to the legion that's supposed to be famous (at the time of the HH) for honourable combat and conduct. The only thing he should be getting kudos for is the bravery it would take for a 'mere' Astartes to assault a primarch, the same way that Alajos gets kudos for the selfless sacrifice he made. You mean that time Corswain hiked up his skirts and ran away from a fight with Sevatar as fast as his legs could carry him? You should be grateful that Cor chose duty over pride (something the NL are incapable of), because there's no way that in those circumstances Sevetar + Sheng > Corswain + Alajos. All you'd get is a dead Sheng and at best a shamed and fleeing Sevetar. This is obviously pointless speculation though and I have to once again apologise for going off topic... I just can't seem to not rise to the baiting of traitors Corswain to the Night Haunter: "I READ YOUR BOOK MOTHERFETHER!!!" If I was the sort to put quotes in my sig, this would definitely be the one I chose Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288696-sevatar-thank-you-adb/page/2/#findComment-3635375 Share on other sites

depthcharge12
Still waiting on ADB's reaction to this picture and our responses :) He is usually picky about the artwork IIRC so it would be good to see if this is how he truly imagines Sevatar Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288696-sevatar-thank-you-adb/page/2/#findComment-3635383 Share on other sites
Saphrael
He mentioned in the Primarch Weapon Variety thread that he was done foruming for a few days, so I wouldn't expect a response anytime soon. That he posted the pic on his FB is probably a tacit approval of the piece though, he doesn't strike me as the type who would post it purely for promotional purposes. Wade Garrett
Honorable combat? The Dark Angels? HA! First, Lion sucker punches Curze. Then he and Corswain double team the poor Haunter. Space King Arthur my fanny, Lion'El Johnson is clearly Space Ric Flair. (Is not unaware of the irony of arguing "But the other guys cheated!" on behalf of Curze and the Night Lords) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288696-sevatar-thank-you-adb/page/2/#findComment-3635426 Share on other sites
Saphrael
the poor Haunter This really made me smile, thanks mate, needed that this morning You're completely justified in your incredulity, of course. I've always been confused by the Lion's sucker punch in Savage Weapons. Why do something that's so out of character (or at least what we've been told is supposed to be his character). I understand that the DA end up as the sinister 'ends justify the means' boys in 40k, but I wouldn't expect that from the Lion at this point of his arch. One of the really gripping grimdark tragedies of the DA is that they were once Arthurian knights set against a dark world and a darker galaxy, but the Lion's tough choices and their own flawed nature have turned the modern chapters into an obsessed group of torturing monsters who abandon the one thing that used to mean the most to them: their honour. Kol Saresk
At first I was all girly fanboy squeals over it, but now that I've looked at, that is a bright ass blue. Xin Ceithan
My,my, such naughtiness from the I st. First, Reduced to copying the VIIIth fighting style. Then reduced to also blowing up their own home world. Isn't imitation the greatest form of flattery? And those copycats can't even get that right, leaving a chunk large enough to built theirnlittle castle thingy on it. ;) (Now excuse me while I honour the VIII th tradition of artful tactical cowardice and duck away) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288696-sevatar-thank-you-adb/page/2/#findComment-3635450 Share on other sites

It is a brighter blue than you'd expect for the VIII, but I think if it was any darker the whole picture would be very drab. This has to go on the front of a book, remember? As it stands I think it's the darkest it could have been without drowning out the whole picture, not to mention it couples splendidly with the bright red shame gauntlets to really make Sev stand out. FunkyMonkey
It's interesting that Sevatar and the NL on the front left have the stripped down power pack/backpacks that we come to associate with Chaos Space Marines. DuskRaider
The Power Cell Sevatar is utilizing is actually an Anvilus-pattern Power Cell. It's technically not Chaos specific, but it's prototypical and wasn't mass produced prior to the Heresy. From what I remember, they have a longer power life and are meant more for void warfare / boarding actions, but at the cost of venting more radiation and more prone to failure. Saphrael
I think I need this as my wallpaper. I also really want to know how I can get my hands on the novel this is for! -Tarvik Well you can read the novella in Shadows of Treachery, but if you want to support the author & subject matter you can grab the hardback collector's edition book this art is for at the Horus Heresy Weekender... though that may be a stretch from Canada. It just doesn't make me feel all warm and bubbly inside. As a DA fan you don't know what I'd give to see my legion depicted this way.
