depthcharge12
Anybody have the rules for the Thanatar class siege automata? Pleaseeeee Strength 8, Toughness 8, 4 wound, 2+ Castallex with a barrage ordnance large blast strength 8 plasma weapon that forces rerolls for cover saves. Cost is ten points less than a landraider. Thanks :) Will be doing some mechanicum now....in addition to anything else FW can sell me. depthcharge12
Definitely seeing a lot of heavier Greek themes for the Iron Warriors Legion. I think the FW team are trying to make them the Pyrric Legion (especially conflicts of self interest -arete- and need to focus on being part of the legion-eleutheria/polis) Haha I should make a crafty Warsmith named Odysseus Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288774-a-plea-for-information-from-someone-who-cant-afford-to-go/page/7/#findComment-3638397 Share on other sites

Done. I'll take two. Kudos to whoever noticed the Iron Hands Predator Annihilator. Anyone know if this is just something for model variety, or if we're getting Annihilator rules in book 3? They can ally with the mechanicum as battle brothers. Nakuth
Excellent! A pair of these alongside a medusa battery and plenty of Thallax, with maybe a small unit of Castellax escorting a magos, would make for an amusing Ordo Reductor unit. lokkorex
Hopkins: nobody at all seemed to like them, not their brother-legions, not the mechanicum, and certainly not the imperial army. perturabo decimated the legion when he first took command of them, for not being better than the other legions. have apparently very good gene-seed, with very Little rejection in recruits, was one of the fastest growing legions during the terran pacification, fought alongside the first and fifth legions quite a lot during the pacification of terra. had their beginnings and recruits drawn from "Sek Amrak" in the Auro Plateau, anybody has any idea where that could be. the imperial army nicknamed them corpse grinders pre-perturabo, something the fourth legion did not take kindly too... EDIT: a bit bummed there are no background on their relationship with the World eaters, since they are their only battle-Brothers. pre-perturabos Discovery the lost 29,000 legionnaires and about two million imperial army troops during a horrible Campaign were their stubborness to accept defeat and rejection of retreating meant they still won, but earned them a lot of critism from most corners of the imperium. am i the only one who see the imperial fists and iron warriors as two sides of the coin? unquestioning discipline, a stubborn refusal to accept defeat, and don't play well with others(one more than the other) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288774-a-plea-for-information-from-someone-who-cant-afford-to-go/page/7/#findComment-3638675 Share on other sites

That seems to be the general view on both, but Dorn seems be better at conspicuously brooding, while Perturabo doesn't hide his bitterness. Balthamal
The Tyrant Siege Terminators are very nice indeed. Cyclones and chainfists? Just because...although I prefer the Lernaeran Terms myself, Volkite and conversion beamers all the way. Regarding the switch up on the order, Simon Egan said flat out that they are nowhere near remotely ready to go forward with it. They've got the wolves, sisters of silence, custodes and thousand sons to cram in and none of them have had any prep work even at the concept stage. Plus he said that he would happily see the book shelved until they could do it all justice. I just think he wants to get his schedule free for Russ and Magnus, he said he's looking for them to be duelling like Fulgrim and Ferrus but with plenty of 1k sons throwing psychic powers at Russ. Honestly the way he was talking about doing it was unreal. It's going to rock Oh and from a rules perspective, it was mentioned that Valdor is going to be even better than Sigismund. He's basically going to be half a step below the Primarchs Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288774-a-plea-for-information-from-someone-who-cant-afford-to-go/page/7/#findComment-3638759 Share on other sites

Balthamal
Not really, it was one of the things he was banned from talking about. He didn't deny anything though when we said is it likely they'll be a small elitist formation, much like Grey Knights which makes sense.1 thing he did admit though is that they're looking to do miniatures of all the main characters from the series at some point Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288774-a-plea-for-information-from-someone-who-cant-afford-to-go/page/7/#findComment-3638780 Share on other sites
Reyner
Interesting that the HH Knight Paladin's rapid fire battle cannon is 3 shots but at strength 6. Might be the better deal considering all the power armor walking around. Still a tough call between that and the lancer which can basically run around poking things (spartans) with it's strength D lance. Yeah man. Poke them with the D lance. Quote of the week and it's only Monday. ------ Seriously though what are Tyrant Siege Terminators? Something for the Iron Warriors? Another reason for me to build the Loyalist guys at Paramar? Marshal Rohr
Tyrant siege terminators are Cataphractii with cyclone missile launchers on them. So you can have 10 tyrants in a spartan each with a cyclone. UltraCaptain
Seriously, 10 terminators with cyclone and spartan for 1050 points and they can't even shoot bolters? The only benefit would be to unload 20 Missile shots together with 20 plasma shots and a following charge.... ok overkill.. No seriously, the cyclone missile launcher isn't that good anymore. I would rather have combi-plasma/melta than cyclone missile launcher if I had to pick one, if they are meant to reach assault Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288774-a-plea-for-information-from-someone-who-cant-afford-to-go/page/7/#findComment-3639184 Share on other sites
