A plea for information from someone who can't afford to go.

Anyone know if tyrant siege terminators would be able to fire both the missile and their (combi)-bolter?

You can in 40k, so presumably you should in 30k
No, you can't. CMLs can only be fired with Storm Bolters.

Because storm bolters and combi bolters are so different it wouldn't make sense to be able to use a combi bolter with a CML in 30K?

Is there any explaination as to the silver and yellow Imperial Fists, is it their early crusade colour scheme?

Unification Scheme - yellow right arm insignia typical of the Legion just after the Fall of Roma - helmet stripe indicates sergeant

Now, I LOVE the stuff that's come out, with 2 minor exceptions.

1. Alpharius - I think this may come across as a bit...odd...but I think he is TOO good. I was expecting something a little less in-your-face powerful. Maybe WS6 W5 or something, BUT having the option for Omegon; or an ability to re-hide after he had been revealed (it turns out it wasn't Alpharius at all)

Anyone else feel the same? I wanted a -little- more sneaky and a -little- less powerful although I have to say I'm happy to use his rules as they are :P

2. Corax - I get why he is WS 7 with his weapons rules but tbh I feel he should be WS 8 really!

I'm loving it despite these minor niggles, although can someone point out to me the big pro's I'm possibly missing about the Lernean Terminators?

I actually like how good Alpharius is. It's part of the whole mystery that goes with the Alpha Legion that he can fly so totally under the radar but can seriously smash face.

On the flip side, the ending to Legion kinda jars with that. I mean, getting impaled by...you know. Doesn't fit.

But still, seriously looking forward to his model. And it hasn't been ruled out as one of those that Simon is working on for the Weekender

I was under the impression that that was Ranko, the marine big enough to impersonate the Primarch.

In the middle of lifting class I uttered a curse & dropped my weights when I connected Alpharius' Pale Spear (Double bladed, smoky, cuts through anything, ancient tech) with the

Soulspear. So what are the chances that the Soul Drinkers are Alpha descendants?

HERESY!

Just a heads up: apparently in the Collectors edition, there are a few alterations to the rules from the previous 2 books, which include:

*Librarian has level 2 mastery level maximum

*Palantine Blades can buy phoenix guard spears

*WE rules tweak: +1 WS in challenges

*EC rules tweak: +1 I in challenges

*Medusan Immortals now have 5+ FNP save instead of 6+ woot.gif

*Fulgrim can now take Fireblade: MC Paragon Blade with 5+ instant death

Might be others, but I'm guessing these will get an errata for the existing books some time soon

Edit: some more changes, directly copied from Garro's post in the Heresy30k forum

-Justaerin terminators have had a rather large points drop, their now 205pts for 3 (-20pts) and only 40pts for each additional (-5pts each) so in total thats 70pts less for a full 10man squad. they also now have 'chosen warriors' so their all characters. overall I think their much better now.

-the old dreadclaw is gone, so its just the new anvilus pattern, which is 15pts more, but has the same burning rules as the Kharybdis.

-under the orbital assault rite of war, rapier batteries may now take drop pods as dedicated transports

- all references to "space marine jetbike" now say "space marine scimitar jetbike" the rules in the back state that a scimitar jetbike conferes the jetbike unit type, +1 toughness and a +2 armour save (sky hunters now 2+ armour as well, with no points increase). judging by this, FW plans to release different jetbike units and models from book 4 onwards.

-the apothecarion detachment can now join several legion specific units: Night lords terror squad, Salamander pyroclast squads, alpha legion headhunter killteams, imperial fists phalanc warder squads.

-BIG ONE HERE GUYS! the tactical support squad sergeant now comes with a flamer, and may upgrade alongside the rest, like the heavy support sergeant. going to be converting some of my sergeants now. the squad can also take volkite chargers as well as the calivers, so you can have either long range fire or short range on the move.

-emperor's children palatine blade squads are now 5-10 men, additional are 20pts a pop.

-Deathshroud terminators are now 'characters'.

2+ saves for Scimitars makes them way more worth it.  Even more so if the points cost is unchanged for buying them for Consuls who start with Power Armor.  It's like a 10 point discount, since they get free Artificer Armor.

Do we have a clue about the White Scars? They don't seem to fit anywhere in the books already planned.

Last I heard, though I believe it was fan speculation, was that they would be introduced during the Siege trilogy.
