Tochtlius
Hello, friends! Have some very basic questions here. Can you move your units any distance between 0 and 6 inches, for example, or only up to maximum? And it is stated that you can move in any direction even in the opposite way, does it mean you can freely move backwards too? Brother Bahram
Maximum distance is 6". You may move how short and in any direction you want! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288814-basic-movement/#findComment-3637610 Share on other sites
Dam13n
For infantry units, 6" is the maximum move. You are free to move up to your maximum move in any legal direction. Difficult (dangerous and impassable) terrain and other units may interfere with this. Also, certain other unit types have different maximum moves that are detailed in their respective sections in the BRB. Vehicles are also different, again their rules are described in the Vehicles section of the BRB. Tochtlius
p.149 move the unit up to the maximum move distance. Means only 6" (or whatever stated), not 2, 3" etc. Is it right? Brother Bahram
You can move 0.5" or 1 or 2 or 4.4. But not further than 6" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288814-basic-movement/#findComment-3637647 Share on other sites

(English isn't my mother tongue) The phrase 'up to' means that anything less is good.
