tjdudey
Hi All, This may seem like a real noob question, but I am only a couple of months into my 40k career, although have become almost fanatical about our beautiful and fear inspiring wolves. However, I notice many people including Bran Redmaw in their lists. I am aware that he was a model suggested by Forgeworld a couple of years ago which never came to fruition. My two questions are: 1) Where do you guys find his profile to include him in your lists with his stats and special rules. 2) What models do you guys use? I am inexperienced at conversions so would love to see some examples of Bran's models. Thanks in advance for your help. Nadir
Tjere was a FW supplement ,doom of myrmidea(?)'. Therebwere the stats of Bran. There is no official or FW model of him. Only some fluff, rules and wargear are known. There was a whole thread about how to model him, with some examples and pics. Rift Blade
Second that. Welcome to the Fang. AS the others have pointed out, Doom of Mymera is where you will find rules for Bran. as for modelling him, you'll need 2 models. One for Bran which you can make out of the Gray Hunter or even basic marine parts. The other is the Redmaw, after he he gives in the curse of the Wulfen. My suggestion is Oroborous from the Hordes game. They have a giant wolf which you do just fine seeing as he's a monstrous creature. No converting. Just slap some paint on him. All that being said, the book is like $90 bucks or so for 2 pages of rules & fluff & some nice pictures. You could probably use General Odon in your allied Imperial Guard/House Karl unit if you wanted but still. Hope this helps. I am just curious as to just how you would model and paint Imp Guard/House Karl's? Ultramar PDF I have seen examples of but never this. SnakeoilSage
I am just curious as to just how you would model and paint Imp Guard/House Karl's? Ultramar PDF I have seen examples of but never this. I would go with Catachans in cloaks (or Fantasy Chaos Marauders with lasguns), swap their fiddly knives with Fenrisian axes, and give them a Space Wolves grey/blue snow-mountain camo scheme. Avoid vehicles and stick with foot-sloggers focused on melee as much as possible, with heavy weapons teams and storm troopers (or Tempestus Scions or whatever they're called now) as your shooters. Don't use them on their own, field them with Space Wolves allies to make up your heavy hitters. The Karls aren't solely responsible for the defense of the Aett, and at least one Great Company remains home to defend it. JCarter
Where do you find that the Redmaw is a monstrous creature? I have the FW book and I don't see it in the stats. Ashmantle
From the Q&A/Errata from Forgeworld. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/i/IA11Q&A.pdf Note that the link is no longer listed in Forgeworlds download section, presumably because it will be updated for 6th edition.
