HaSY
If Dorn gets his Thunderhawk and Perturabo his Tormentor, why dont Fulgrim have his Firebird? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/ Share on other sites
Jolemai
When did he have it in the timeline? Also, has the chassis of the Firebird been identified? I only understand it to be a gunship, meaning it might be too large for 30k/40k play. Blindhamster
Firebird is supposed to be a single man ship I thought, basically it's a fighter rather than the normal marine transport/gunships. Reyner
I thought the Firebird was a modified (ie all shiny and full of art and golden things) Thunderhawk Gunship? There is a description of it in the book Fulgrim I think. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3639811 Share on other sites
MadDoc
Wasn't it a Stormbird? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3639854 Share on other sites
DarKnight
Here's with another recollection because I could've sworn it was a Stormbird in Fulgrim. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3639861 Share on other sites
Demus Ragnok
I think it was something unique that Fulgrim built himself. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3639944 Share on other sites
Ekim_Trub
Iirc, Firebird was a customised Stormbird. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3639994 Share on other sites
Daddywarcrimes
It's described several times as a fancy Stormbird. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3640003 Share on other sites
HaSY
Yep, it is a fancy Stormbird. I guess it is not being used again ever since. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3640146 Share on other sites
MadDoc
Or Forgeworld are holding off giving rules for it until they release rules (and/or have a model) for Stormbirds, at which point they will most likely release it as an add-on rule for him. Lord Lorne Walkier
The Stormbird is larger then the thunderhawk by a fair bit. I don't think there will ever be a model or rules for one Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3640805 Share on other sites
MadDoc
Forgeworld made a Manta, so why not a Stormbird... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3640818 Share on other sites
Iron Hands Fanatic
Or Forge World only started adding unique Primarch vehicles with Extermination? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288921-firebird/#findComment-3640820 Share on other sites
