Time for round 2, my MotF with power sword, unfortunately the arm and body both come from Chronus so doesn't qualify, but I really like this guy (not so much the finecast servo arms, took a lot of bending to get them mostly straight).

Heres my entry. :) Hope its okay to have bits tacked on. The servo skull is for instance, cause i want to paint it seperately.

Cause most marines are shooting guns or waving swords, i thought i'd get this Techmarine preparing to do some repairs. Here he's putting in commands for his servo-arm / checking vehicle schematics. ;)

I like what I'm seeing so far so far my favorites are magicman's and Aquilanus'. The former has a charming simplicity to it, and the latter really captures the creepiness that adepts of mars exude in the artwork.

Ahh dudes these are all awesome. Mine is struggling. Seems to be a busy time with work. Won't qualify for the challenge sadly, but cracking on when I can. Off for the weekend though. So might see some progress.

I'm pretty certain mine doesn't adhere to the rules. I did mine for the fun of it

Pretty sure at least one of mine doesn't qualify with the rules, but I've always followed the "rule of cool".

Absolutely love what's been posted so far, and I've seen a fair few ideas that I will be 'borrowing'...

 

Here's my attempt, 30K era techmarine. The legs came from a previous (failed) conversion and are mostly painted, and the torso, head and backpack are base-coated. I hope that's not a problem?

Parts list - 
Head from FW Iron Hands head pack
Torso from Iron Hands torso pack
Legs from GW Iron Hands upgrade kit
Backpack is the vox pack from FW Iron Hands squad. With scanner/camera thing (I think it's from Srgt Chronos - not sure)
Servo arm is made from a servitor arm and the tactical squad missile launcher loading arm
Cable comes from the Thallax weapon (I think, was in a load of bits I got from eBay)
Right arm is the techmarine bolter arm, with a FW MK3 bolt pistol
Left arm comes from the FW character kit, with an auspex from the tactical squad)

@ Magicman: You know I hated that helm when I first saw it, but now? The more I see it, the more I want to find a reason to use it. I love the idea of a Techmarine, you know, fixing stuff rather than bashing skulls, seem appropriate

@ Aquilanus: Excellent fluff to accompany a very unique conversion :tu:

@ BassWave: I love that cog pattern on the HUGE sword, I LOVE huge swords....

@ Brother Martemis: Good news!!! I can't see anything that excludes your entry, as plastic kits are exempt from the 25% rule. Futhermore, that is one badass Warpsmith, I'd have never considered converting a Centurion in that way. Kudos dude.

@ Sgt. Sharpe: Nice tidy kit-bash, well done :tu: also, are they Anvil legs? I've been meaning to try them out.

@ Grotsmasha: Well done me, you've stopped procrastinating.

<p>Grotsmasha, yes they're Anvil legs. Their resin quality is pretty amazing, no bubble's on 15-20 bits i ordered a while back. Only issue i had was they're a little slow to ship my order out. But all in all great products.
