I read the Codex that as soon as he is upgraded he's stuck with the chainsword. However being able to swap for a Bolter would be preferable in a dakka banner squad. Thoughts? [TA]Typher Posted April 2, 2014 Share Posted April 2, 2014 I haven't even asked my gaming circle. I don't think it would be right (at least in my local store). It's lame, but we're stuck with it. As bad as it is for the normal apoth to have only a chainsword, basically losing a bolt pistol, the Term Apoth loses a powerfist. A 25 point weapon that should offset the cost of the apoth's upgrade, but sadly it doesn't. If you think about it.. a PF cost 25 pts. You are basically paying 55pts for the DW Apoth upgrade.
